Johnson is so stupid he thinks an asset is a little donkey.

Where can I send money to Russ Feingold’s campaign?

“Johnson said that confirmation for a Supreme Court justice should wait until after the election.”

I think there’s room for compromise here:

A Democratic President can’t nominate Supreme Court justices in the final year of his term.
And GOP Senators can’t introduce, debate, or vote on anything in the final year of their terms.

See – bipartisan compromise!

No wonder Russ is getting his seat back.

“It’s a different situation,” Johnson said. "Generally, and this is the way it works out politically, if you’re replacing — if a conservative president’s replacing a conservative justice, there’s a little more accommodation to it."

behold the deciding vote on Obergefell v. Hodges

Johnson said that confirmation for a Supreme Court justice should wait until after the election.

“Let the American people decide. It’s a very reasonable, I think probably the fairest thing to do,” he said.

Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by nine percentage points. Bernie is currently crushing Donald in a one-on-one…please continue senator.

The American people have already decided.

WE elected President Obama for two full terms.

We the American people did NOT elect you! Only your stupid state did and that doesn’t disqualify the presidential election!

Grassley whining about Dems making nom political.
“We’re already witnessing how raw politics is infecting the process. Regardless of what some are willing to admit publicly, everybody knows any nominee submitted in the middle of this presidential campaign isn’t getting confirmed. Everybody. The White House knows it. Senate Democrats know it. Republicans know it. Even the press knows it,” Grassley said in the statement, according a version released at the start of the meeting.

We did. Twice. Once in 2008, and once in 2012.

It’s not like people didn’t discuss the possibility that a new President would nominate Justices, either:

Senate Republicans have no legs to stand on here. But then, they’re shameless enough to not care how their naked power grab will play out in the history books.

(Edited to add)

The Clinton and Sanders campaigns could have a fine time trolling the Senate GOP by publishing the names of the most liberal judges they could - and let the Senate consider not nominating them after the election.

Another unforced error from the stupid caucus.

Exactly the way your beloved framers of the Constitution wanted… direct election of the Supreme Court.

Sorter version… we finally crossed the River Jordan, and we’re burning the bridges down behind us!

And after a Democrat is elected in November, will the lame duck portion of the presidency begin on January 21st?

Ah, but you see with Obama - his authority as President only extends to 3/5 of his term. Special case, you know.

Of course the gop/t-baggers are going to stick with their plan of blocking everything Obama says or does. Johnson is a gop/t-bagger *sshole who won’t understand how the Constitution process works fo nominating someone to an office. He’s up for re-election and I pray WI boots this bastard out…
