To the People of Pennsylvania,
Please dispatch this senator as you did with Santorum years ago. His statement is proof that he is defying the constitution and is no longer fit to serve.
Thank You.

Of course he’s a great candidate, far superior to a box turtle or most humans for that matter. Very high achiever in everything he’s ever done. I’ll be happy to punch the ballot for him in particular.

I see we have some Pennsylvanians in here. You may commence flogging Sen. Toomey.

We’re on it. : )

I think so too. Garland knew exactly what he was getting into and the slim possibility of getting confirmed. And I agree about not getting Srivinasan an Waltford not getting bloodied. I know this President knows exactly what he’s doing.

Seconded from a former Pennsylvanian

as well as if the party could have not been so stupid as to support a republican for the democratic Senate nomination…

Which clearly means that there is no REAL objection to this nominee! Advise and consent, accomplished! Forward him to the full Senate, already!

They also care about disrespecting President Obama. Actually, I think that’s #1 for them.

Well, as long as it’s not this one.

Oh, sweetcheeks, you won’t be there to confirm anyone! Enjoy your unemployment!

Like the other Pennsylvanians in this thread, I will do whatever I can to make sure that you don’t have a chance to vote for or against anything under the next president.

This is one of the stupidest things I have heard today - Of Course you would … what else would you do? Refuse to “consider” him simply because Obama had been the first to put his name forward? but hopefully the GOP makes all of the worst possible moves - gets a monumental pounding in the polls - makes a feeble attempt to make amends, confirms Garland - but an enraged electorate sees it as too little too late and deals them a brutal punishing defeat.

Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) tweeted Wednesday that he’d
consider Judge Merrick Garland, President Barack Obama’s Supreme Court
Justice nominee, if he were nominated again by the next President.

Then that comment begs the question:
What the fuck is wrong with considering him now?
Oh… right… I forgot… my bad …Toomy ,Obama is a black man. And we must at all times bow to the wishes of that racist from Kentucky who currently is the majority leader. His wishes dictate what you are allowed to think and say on your own behalf.
Pardon my lack of appropriate racism

There really is no way out for the GOPers this time. It’s Garland this time or Garland in 10 months OR Sri Srinivansan. My fond hope is to see McConnell either turned out of office and in an unemployment line (#1) or as minority leader (#2).

I’d help but I have hands full trying to oust McCain (yes he’s up this cycle).

Believe me! We will try!
