Discussion: GOP Sen. Sullivan: It Wouldn't Be 'Politically Wise' For Trump To Fire Sessions

Every Sunday is “GOP Sunday” on the MSM Sunday babble-gabble fests.

And O.K. if you think Trump should fire him, why’d you vote for the diminutive, lying asshole to begin with? Fucking enabler. Any resemblance between you and a giant Gippsland earthworm is not coincidental and is not the fault of the earthworm.

T*/ rethug’s agenda, get brett confirmed, fire jeff and rod. Dems don’t have the votes to do anything about any of the above. Rethug’s care not about protests, emails, faxing etc they are in “the zone,” and know that they will keep the senate, which approves judges, even if they lose the house,

You start running down the list of hidden but deducible reasons he says this and not too many are obvious, not up for reelection in a purple state, nothing like that, and suddenly you (I mean I) think maybe he’s saying it because he thinks it. It wouldn’t be politically wise at all to do that.

Cuz they knew, if nothing else, he would gut civil rights. matter of fact, the civil right’s div of doj is neutered under rethug’s, and espec hard hit under sessions. Once they overturn/weaken roe v wade, gay marriage, by kicking it back to the states, they will have achieved 99% of their goals

As if that might make a difference to Trump’s “thinking.”

And, of course, if Trump does fire Sessions, you, Mr. Sullivan, will not do a goddamned thing about it since, if we took you and Jeff Flake and Susan Collins and Bob Corker and Lindsey Graham - these supposed “moderate” Republicans who oh-so-valiantly speak out against the excesses and outrages of Donald Trump - and put you all together, we wouldn’t even have the backbone of a barbecued chicken wing.

But if he did the cowards in the GOP wouldn’t do shit about.

Not only would it be politically unwise … it would be another impeachable offense to add to the long and growing list of impeachable offenses that the Republicans continue to ignore, cover up and not do a damned thing about.

What is the job Sessions is doing besides the recusal? I’m not in the weeds on it but i assume it is rolling back voting rights, and any progress made in the previous administration on prison reform or other social injustices.

It would be politically stupid so I expect Trump to do it any time now. The question is what this guy will do about it if so and I think the answer is plain. At most he will tut tut about it.

And I support Jeff Sessions and the job he’s doing right now.

No, you don’t. But you are aware enough to see the absolute hellrain that is coming for your party, so you are offering a mitigation you can point to later. Not buying it, jackass.

Yes, Sullivan (R-AK) supports session’s efforts to prohibit Alaska’s allowing medical and personal use marijuana, and support’s his efforts to restrict and limit Native American’s access to the ballot. Alaskans need to remember this in 2020.

There are a lot of sound bites being created by Republican Createns right now…

I wonder what he sees from his porch ? ? …

GOP Sen. Sullivan: It Wouldn’t Be ‘Politically Wise’ For Trump To Fire Sessions

OK, so when, if I may ask, has trump done anything that is wise…politically or not.

Ummm… Let’s see how best to phrase this question for a full soft lob effect that gives you an easy run down the waterslide and into the shallow end of things… Hmmmmm. I know: “Would it be politically wise to fire Sessions, do you think?”
Do you like that version? (Here are the Cliff Notes for answering while you are at it…)(

Swampland i expect.
