But where there’s ill will, there’s a way!

He Got a Brain!, Moran.

Trump’s base will be happy as long as we keep government out of Medicare.

OT but this is where Murika is heading.

This was the voting session to over-ride Brucey Rauner’s veto of the proposed state budget. If the veto is over-turned, Illinois will have its first budget in 3 years. Brucey did say he would stop at nothing to prevent the veto from being overturned…

There is an old adage that applies to the GOP here:

Pretty to touch
Pretty to hold
If you break it
Consider it sold.

Good luck explaining to that diabetic how to saw off their gangrenous leg after their ACA/Madicaid is taken away because “FREEDOM!”

But he won’t say he’s a no vote on bringing it forward. Spineless pretender.

All this talk about “working together” with the enemy libruls makes me want to puke. Wanna work together? First, let’s get past two questions: 1) Are all Americans entitled to some level of heath care?, 2) Should the federal government honor that entitlement by transferring wealth from the haves to the have-nots? Despite endless posturing, most Rs say more or less emphatic nos to both questions. All the rest is details about mechanisms to make it happen, who is going to take how big of a haircut to make it happen, and how to do it without bankrupting the nation (hint: private insurance is not the answer).

Sadly they will have little trouble here. Their base is too stupid (and/or racist) to credit Obama for the positives of the ACA, but will easily believe Fox news’ refrain blaming Obama for the liss of the coverage he helped them get (all the while knowing he was taking the political hit for the greater good)

Sen. Jerry Moran (R-KS) said during a Thursday town hall that he was disappointed with the rushed process Senate leadership pursued to pass a bill to repeal and replace Obamacare, and predicted the legislation would not pass with Republican votes alone.

Bummer.

So he’s against the content of the bill except to the extent that he might still vote for it, and thinks the process has been all wrong and doesn’t think it will get any better but won’t let that stop him for voting for it either.

Squirmy little worm, ain’t he?

But in the end, after much public hand-wringing, he’ll vote for it.

Moran responded that he wants the Republican bill to ensure coverage for those with pre-existing conditions and drive down costs.“That’s not, in my view, where we are with the legislation pending in the Senate,” he said.

Yet asked later in the town hall if he would withhold his vote, Moran replied, “I will not necessarily.”

That pretty much sums it up.

The last thing McConnell wants is “experts” testifying. He knows what they will say. McConnell is passing a tax cut. He couldn’t care less about the consequences of the rest.

Jerry Moran (R - Koch Whore) will do whatever Charles Koch wants him to do. Charles Koch wants more than the $43 billion he is estimated to have, so Charles Koch wants a tax break. Charles Koch’s only loyalty is to money and other mobster oligarchs (Russians included). Koch and his brother David will be most happy in a dictatorship where 90% of the population are their starving peasants, because they think that is what “God” ordained when “God” allowed them to be born to and inherit Daddy Fred Koch’s tremendous wealth. Charles Koch is a greedy monster and he owns Jerry Moran. You may replace Jerry Moran with just about any Republican Congresscritter’s name.

we ought to try to do this in a way in which we all have an opportunity to present our ideas and to have committee hearings, allow experts and the public to testify, and give people a chance to get comfortable or uncomfortable with whatever the proposal is,” the senator said Thursday

Ok, who shot him with sodium pentahol?
