The nation yawns.

Recognized that supporting marriage equality for his gay son did him in with the base of the GOP, eh?

He’s probably not quite crazy enough for the GOP Clown Car that’s headed down the road in our direction.

I always love it when they pretend that they are going to “fix the tax code.”

Or, given his fund raising capabilities, sees being a broker for other candidates as a much more lucrative opportunity.

Welp, that rules out any chance of picking up his Senate seat. We still haven’t heard from Thune, though…

you’re misinformed. 2016 is a presidential high turnout year. Portman is done. Hillary will win Ohio and so will any democrat running against Portman. What has Portman accomplished while in the US Senate? NOTHING. Funny when you hear Portman says he wants to break the gridlock when it’s his own party that is the #1 cause of the gridlock.

Couldn’t he have said, “The reason I am not running for President is because the overwhelming reaction to the news I may be a candidate to lead this proud and free nation is ‘Who’s Rob Portman?’”?

It would have been LOTS shorter.

‘Fix the tax code’ really means “work for free.”

“We can and we must export more products stamped ‘Made in America’ around the world to create better jobs and a better future here.”

Load of bullshit right there. The only thing GOP/Teatroll policies encourage the manufacture of is financial products consumed by the wealthiest 1% of the country.

(Much) shorter Portman: I don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of getting the nomination so I’ll just kick back and spend my campaign cash on getting reelected to the Senate, which is , after all, a pretty cushy job.

Well of course he’s not running – Kasich is.

Two guys from the same state rarely if ever run.

Same as with that Lyin’ Paul Ryan and Scotty Dropout…one will definitively decline to run.

If he does or doesn’t run, how would we even be able to tell the difference?

I don’t know, Perry and Cruz are both making a lot of noise about it. They really strongly don’t like each other, and they both think that God told them only they can fix America.

I can easily see both of them running in 2016. In fact, I eagerly await it.

In as eagerly anticipated news, I have decided not to run for president either. Which is a real shame because I would be a way better president than Portman would be.

Portman abandons plans to run as an “anti-Obama” in 2016 after being told Obama isn’t running in 2016.

Texass is the exception that proves the rule though. They’re fucked up beyond all hope of salvation down there.
