The New York Times reported Monday night that Flynn had been asked to resign by President Donald Trumpâs chief strategist, Steve Bannon.
President Bannon is trying to limit the damage. Itâs not going to work.
The Justice Department (FBI Counter espionage unit) knew enough about the content of the call to be concerned that Flynn could be leveraged. They have some sort of signal intercept, right?
The Russians tape the phone calls and know everything that was said, too.
The big question is still âwhy did Flynn tell the Russians not to react to US sanctions for interfering with the election?â How could he have made that assurance unless he had discussed it with Trump.
