Discussion: GOP Sen. Leads Dem Challenger By 2 Points In North Carolina Senate Race

As the MSM continues to harp on Sec. Clintonā€™s emails and the Clinton Foundation, they will manage to create the impression (in their desire for the monies that come from the proverbial ā€˜horse raceā€™ political contest) that there is some sort of equivalency between these non-issues and the cornucopia of lies, deceit, fraud and constant scandal surrounding the Trumpaloozaā€™ Campaign and the incompetent swamp that it has become. They will publish every tweet, every Trump mouthpieceā€™s lies and every innuendo and outrageous blurb against Clinton that comes from the traveling Trump Freakshow.
The big monies in the GOP are now, in most cases, ignoring Trump and pouring money into the down ballot contests. Itā€™s imperative to get out the vote

OK, another stand-alone article about the Emerson college landline only polls. While I am tiring of these headlines, this stands to remind us all that turn-out will be key, particularly for these down-ticket races. Letā€™s not lose the opportunity that we have by becoming complacent. We need to get every Dem-leaning voter to the polls in November. Turn-out is key! GOTV!

Iā€™m mid-50ā€™s and I grudgingly admit we still have a land-lineā€¦ The thing is, even we never answer it! Especially during polling season.

[Why? We have had the number nearly 25 yearsā€“every doctorā€™s office, every service/subscription has that number as our point of contact. We also have foreign relatives, who occasionally call, so we would have to pay high international cell rates when they call. Finally, we still have a security system hardwired to the landline. The security service has other options, but they cost almost the same monthly fee. So we keep it, but only listen to the messages.]

10 years younger, and we have the same set up - a landline that goes unanswered unless it is a call from one of our kidsā€™ schools.

I spent the first 26 years of my life in Ye Olde South, before becoming a California refugee (oh, Glory days!). Unless things have changed (yeah, right), Southerners have this funny apprehension about their womenfolk running things. Iā€™m not saying this plays a role in that GOP nutter coming out on top, Iā€™m just sayinā€™ maybe Dems need to run the menfolk in the Southern states for a little while longer, until the angry old white people die off some more. A lot of Southerners are still struggling to join us in the 21st Century, bless their hearts.

Key qualifier-landline-should be in the headline, otherwise the poll is meaningless.

Iā€™m 70+ and do not have a landline and am a regular voter.

Yes, we have a landline too (long story) that we never answer. We do get a few really interesting voice mails though, especially from faux IRS agents or faux lawyers saying there are legal filing against us. (ā€œJust give us a callā€) Guess these doofeses (sp?) never heard of the US mail.

Add much as MSM hits HRC on emails &/ TCF, Trump ends up burying those stories with some new bullshit rouge he plays out.

He canā€™t help himself.

As someone who studied Poli Sci, this is the craziest, perfect storm of utter bullshit masquerading as ordinary Presidential election. And itā€™s not.

I wish MSM would not treat it as if it was. *And yes, there are journalists who are holding the GOPā€™s feet to the fire.

Just had that same call today! Lol.
