Just a quick reminder- Flake said nothing when McConnell stole the SCOTUS seat from Obama, he voted FOR Obamacare repeal, voted for the tax bill.

I’ll compartmentalize here: I appreciate that he’s not caving on Moore, and the people tweeting “Only $100?” aren’t helping. On the other hand, Flake demonstrated his naivete getting rolled with a “promise” on DACA.

Now he is saying he didn’t get rolled because it was not a condition for his vote. OTOH, Collins was rolled. They both voted for the tax bill and now the House won’t support their so-called conditions.
But the fact that he seems to be poking Trump in the eye, makes me smile a little.

It looks like the bill will have to go through conference after all, as the Senate fucked everything up tossing the alternative minimum tax back in at the last minute and setting it equal to the regular corporate tax rate. But I’m not filled with hope that Collins or Flake will grow a spine between now and the final vote.
