Discussion: GOP Sen. Blunt Offers Timid Defense Of Rep. Waters, Argues GOP Isn't 'Anti-Black'

“Well, the GOP is not anti-black,” Blunt began.

He then reminisced about his days with Maxine Waters in St Louis where they took turns hoeing a watermelon patch.

A major mistake Democrats made was we assumed that all the racist deplorables came out to vote against the Black President in 2012, but they actually didn’t all come out to vote until in 2016 when a candidate emerged who was one of them - Trump.

Blunt speaks an incomplete truth. What he is really saying is,***“The GOP isn’t anti-black, the GOP is Anti-Non-Whites.”***

I was going to say that they are not just anti-black. It is only part of the overall package.

I wish someone would release the racist clips that were edited from “The Apprentice” a few years ago.

Today would be a good day for that.

Who believes in chronic liars anyway?

I don’t! I rebuke them!

When the GOP was noticeably silent on Trump’s birtherism, they showed their racist hand.

Chuck Todd and the lame stream media…softball questions for the white Republicans and all kinds of questions for progressives! White media, white republicans, white police, white judges! Apartheid America - big thanks to Chuckie softball Todd. Talking heads working for white billionaires allowing racists like Blunt to lie about racism and to enable Trump’s Nazi movement! Hitler would love these Republicans!

Blunt said he embraced Waters “as a person who has given a lot of time to public service, and has a different viewpoint than I do, but it’s not a viewpoint that’s not based on her factual view of the world.”

“Well, the GOP is not anti-black,” Blunt began.

“We are, however, pro-fascist, pro-white supremacist, pro-misogynist, pro-xenophobe, pro-pedophile and, most of all, pro-looting,” he said. “See? We’re for a lot of things. But we’re not necessarily anti-black.”

Unfortunately, those clips belong to Mark Burnett—one of Trump’s friends and supporters, as well as the producer and creator of the program.

After a lifetime of racial privilege he was largely unaware of an old white man trots out his best effort at noblesse oblige and fails to impress. News at eleven.

All I can do is laugh - Trump is really campaigning his hardest for these guys and it’s killing them.

Trump’s made the same criticism of black athletes, black journalists & black Members of Congress. He attacks their intelligence.

It’s not a dog whistle. It’s an old-timey sound truck, barreling through your neighborhood at 5:00 a.m., waking everyone up to a crappy day.

It’s like having someone who fell in a sewer selling perfume for you.

Blunt argued that Trump hadn’t “always” focused his attacks on African Americans — “I mean, look at what he said about his various opponents in the Republican primary” — but added, “I think you’ve got to be more careful in our society about what you say about people that are different than you.”

Okay, there’s no cure for that. And I did one of the shows today. And I don’t want to say what I said. But I’ll tell you anyway. I said that if you’re a child molester, a sick puppy, you’re a child molester, there’s no cure for that. There’s only one cure—we don’t want to talk about that cure. That’s the ultimate cure. Well, there’s two, there’s death, and the other thing.

“If it were about me, yes, I would be outraged, saying, ‘No way can I support this,’ but it’s not about me. [Trump] was concerned about the fact that he couldn’t shake me. I understand politics, and particularly the politics of personal destruction, and you have to admit to some degree it did work. A lot of people believed him.”

¯_(ツ)_/¯

“I mean, look at what he said about his various opponents in the Republican primary”

It isn’t just that Trump insults everyone, it is the adjectives that he chooses:

Trump calls journalists dishonest and fake, Democrats inept soft or weak, and blacks dumb.

The point isn’t that Trump only insults blacks, but that the insult he consistently uses for blacks is that they are dumb. This point completely eludes Blunt. Blunt could just be dumb, but he probably also is dishonest, because he knows the head of the GOP is as racist as they come.

Well, Dinesh D’Souza claims that Donald Trump is the reincarnation of Abraham Lincoln, so you have that…
