White House denied the reported apology to the UK government over the surveillance allegation. Now the story is Spicer and McMaster were just citing stories in an impromptu St. Patty’s Day run-in with a UK official, no apology.
Edit: Initially credited Trump with having ordered this, and I’m going to assume this was Trump’s doing until told otherwise. Who else would want to keep this story going?
