I agree!

And while we’re at it, lets take all the weapons and batons from cops and replace them with nerf guns and balsa sticks… but first, we have to disarm everyone else.

But independent paramilitary groups who set up checkpoints on public property…A-OK.

“[H]is proposal was in response to the armed standoff between the impromptu militia … and officials from the Bureau of Land Management.”

Going out on a limb here, but maybe it’s impromptu militias that cause the armed standoffs?

Here is my solution. “The Debt Reduction and Land Sale Act of 2014”

The Federal government shall sell its land holdings in California, Nevada, Oregon, Idaho, and Arizona until such time as the Federal government owns no more that 50% of the land in named states. All land will be sectioned into one square mile parcels and each parcel will be sold at auction to the highest bidder. Payment must be in cash. All proceeds will go to pay down the national debt.

BS This is absolutely outrageous. The militias around Bundy’s ranch are now setting up their own check points on state and country roads just like the terrorists in the Ukraine and Syria and the local law enforcement are just standing around doing nothing to stop it just like the police in the Ukraine.

And of course you won’t care what they do with this land either . . . will you?

I agree that BLM Rangers shouldn’t have a SWAT unit. And they don’t. So far so good. Those facts might be related to why they retreated, maybe.

Then nutjobs like Bundy will face fenced off land and IF he was allowed to graze it he would be about 19 buck a head, for grazing vs. the bargain he was getting. It would serve him right.

So you’d be fine with the Grand Canyon and the Colorado river in private hands?

99% of the people in this country woudn’t.

The other side will not go for this because they want the land to be given to the states, who would then give, lease or sell at dirt cheap prices to their favorite donors. They do not want individual land sales. They would be livid if the Society for the Protection of Tumbleweeds bought land to lay in fallow.

Absolutely while the Nevada law enforcement stand around just watching them like the Ukrainian Police are doing with the pro Russian militias.

And in the meantime true to the domestic terrorists they really are now they have warring factions.

Not what I am saying.

It’s exactly what you said.

The Constitution favors a well regulated militia over paramilitary forces. So I can see where he is coming from even though I disagree.

NRA: “The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a federal agency with its own paramilitary unit."

(Or something)
