Discussion: GOP Rep Urges Halt To Trump’s Executive Order Banning Refugees

…or to put it in language the Donald will understand, the degree of ugliness he has unleashed in the land is a one.

Edit: Petition to the Vice President and Cabinet Department Heads of the United States: Whereas the 25th Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America (below) calls upon you to remove a President who is of unsound mind or “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office” we the undersigned respectfully request you carry out your duty and by written declaration state that President Donald J. Trump is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.

Section 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

“I urge the administration to halt enforcement of this order until a more thoughtful and deliberate policy can be instated."

Or you can introduce legislation to overturn the executive order.

And now comes the blowback when it becomes painfully obvious that Syrian Christians are being turned away because they’re not obviously “Not Muslim.” They just look like plain old “Middle Eastern terrorists.”

Who could have foreseen this happening?

“But, like Trump, Dent has also warned that some people processed as refugees may actually be terrorists.”

So, when you could use fearmongering politically to trash Obama and Clinton, that was just peachy. But now that innocent constituents are being effected, now that there may be a political cost, you’re worried. This guy is such a weasal.

he’s trying to play both ends to meet in the middle.

The middle is where all the run over critters are.

Better yet, he could go to the fucking airport and retrieve them, after notify the media he’s going. I’d love to see the video of some DHS flack at PIA tangling with a Congressman.

It would make Dent a hero in the eyes of millions — around the globe!
He won’t do it, of course. Another Profile in Courage.

Fun fact: Most people would call this a tragedy. Rethugliklans call it a wallet photo.

Good news, then. That asswipe doesn’t know how to write an EO that will withstand court scrutiny.

I’m getting the idea that they are getting swamped with phone calls, email, people showing up -

I think this is becoming very uncomfortable for the GOP.

I think Kushner would like to push Bannon out. it’s Bannon and that fuck Stephen Miller. Still waiting to see when Priebus is going to resign. Can’t say it’s not entertaining. Scary, but entertaining watching these clowns and wondering when the hammer is going to fall on them.
