None of the D.C. GOP like Trump. But their ability to believe the most predasperous lies will allow them to fold under in the end. It’s a conservative thing. Don’t try to understand.
By September, most of the current GOP naysayers will miraculously have discovered that these terrible things about Trump are “yesterday’s news,” “overblown,” and “have nothing to do with the real issues,” and that Donald’s a great guy a great guy and will make a great president. Anything to beat Hitlery.
Yup. All of that is yesterday’s news, but all the s#!t they tried to pin on the Clintons from the '90’s is going to be relevant in their eyes. And the media will oblige.
You’re are upset about trumps vulgar statements?
What about your party’s representatives and senators 8 years of vulgar statements about our President?
Need to check with the wife?
We used to trade marbles when I was a kid…One steelie for two boulders, for example. Shooters were really valued…and we played 4 holes with one in the middle. We played chasies…
This story is looked at by me as a temporary artifact…it could be “true” that this guy will not support Trump in the end, although that is unlikely. Of far more interest to me (and far more damaging) is the paid-off woman “speaking out” (in favour of Trump) regarding the so-called NYT expose of Trump w/.women.
There is SO MUCH swing-voter/undecided/independent voter potential to be harvested here…This is the M.O. Trump is going to use: He will stake out the stories against him and then buy-off key players who have previously been used against him…then these people issue denials.
Perfect for these folks.
The MSM could have stopped Trump by simply practicing journalism**…instead they decided to make a killing by endangering the American people and foisting Trump upon us…so they now are into “exposes”, when they should know this snake Trump has push-back capability. It will be exponentially more difficult to deal, with Trump that it would have been. Fuck these MSM assholes with their too-late bullshit.
**The Allies could have stopped Hitler in the 1930s (and Hitler knew it)…instead there was a catastrophe which we are still paying for…just like Herr Drumpf knew that the debauched MSM was too greedy to even make an attempt at stopping him. At least the Allies could be partiallty excused. The British lost the flower of their youth in 1914-1918. The French lost as well. Out of a population of 38 million, over 2 million Frenchmen were either killed or to seriously mutilated to continue normal living.
The MSM (including the NYT)?
These fuckers just had a bottom-line $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
It was a joint session not a SOTU, but as for Wilson being publicly rebuked by the House, he dusted it off his shoulders like he does his dandruff. It was a huge fundraising boost for him and brought in about $1 million. It was a good day for a whore. .
@mames5 The planned trumpf strategy will be to serve warmed over attacks on the William J. Clinton administration and her part in making the country prosperous and maybe even her role in pushing for healthcare.
Vulgar remarks are beyond the pale; the incompetence, ignorance and racism were just fine.
I agree. That was a quote from Politico, so it was pretty GOP friendly.
That’s the rub here, however. Huelskamp is merely firing a shot across the bow of the SS Trump concerning “policy”. He doesn’t care about Trump’s “vulgar” remarks in the least. Its the flexibility comments that have the Freedom Caucus concerned, because compromise is the most vulgar remark anyone can make.
What a ruse. He’s going to check with his wife, and he’s upset about the comments about women. Yea, right. I’d bet half the reason he dislikes Hillary is the mere fact she’s a woman. The Party of No can’t deny choice to women, pay us less, demean us with comments and then think we’re going to buy this bullshit. I mean, some women will, the hopelessly brainwashed ones, but hopefully enough women are waking up that eventually we can oust jokers like Huelskamp.
“Why does he have to talk like that? Why does he have to talk in a brash manner”
He’s more concerned about the way it sounds rather than the ugly sentiments at the root.
And yet they are undeniable masters of the etch-a-sketch.
That’s not a matter of flexibility. That’s an application of an inflexible conservative principle, namely, they will say or do anything to get elected to public office.
Conservatives cannot, by definition, be flexible.
-
Flexibility means being open to new ideas.
-
Conservatism means not being open to new ideas.
Q.E.D.
And the Koch backed weasel is from KS, the exhibit A state, with the worst economy, unable to balance their budget or pay for education, voted for by products of the ill funded education still believing the lies about lower taxes and cutting spending.
No.
- Conservatism is open to gradual, incremental change.
- Today’s GOP demands radical and immediate change.
Ergo, the GOP is not conservative.
“I don’t know,” Huelskamp replied. "I need to talk to my wife. We’re both so upset about these vulgar statements. Why does he have to talk like that? Why does he have to talk in a brash manner that’s so attacking and demeaning to women?"
Tim the Flexible blathers.
well being a gop rep I would have thought that you would be quite use to all those "vulgar remarks by now from long before drumpf decided to run for president
My wife tells me that, in states with Early Voting, the following will take place with many Republican women.
(a) Verbally support Trump
(b) Enter voting booth
© Vote for Hillary
(d) Verbally support Trump
