Discussion: GOP Rep. Unsure He Can Back Trump: I'm 'Upset' About 'Vulgar' Remarks

Strong words coming from a complete fucking dickhole like Huelskamp.

Shorter Huelskamp: I am a devout racist/bigot and support all my brothers. I must, however, pretend for a brief moment that I openly support it.

The congressman said that Trump is better than Clinton, but noted that Mitt Romney was not able to defeat President Obama.

And strawberries are better than lemons, but it must be said that South Carolina is South of North Carolina.

Yet when Wasilla Kardashian uses the same type of language, he gets all tingly.

This can not be over emphasized. Many GOPers use the same language. Yet the media always gives them a pass, starting with DeMint’s “You lie!” at the SOTU address. Heck, it usually results in the media inviting them to appear on their network shows so they can ask softball questions to enable their guest to bash Obama/Clinton/Democrats, with no mention of the racist comments the guest made. Or, if not an invite to their show, at the very least giving them news coverage while avoiding critical issues. See “Palin, Sarah”.

It wasn’t DeMint.

It was Joe Wilson, a member of the House.

Joe Wilson yelled “You lie!” at the SOTU.

And it wasn’t officially a State of the Union address.

Keep lying fool! Like every other Republican you will fall in line for Trump!

The congressman noted that Trump says he is “flexible,” which Huelskamp argued is “exactly what the people don’t want.”

No conservative can be flexible. A rigid inflexibility is the hall and mint mark of conservatives. “Flexible conservative” is an oxymoron, a contradiction in terms along the lines of “Israeli peace initiative”.

Yes, it was.

Bottom line on Trump…he has a mental disorder…did you see his reaction to David Cameron’s criticisms…
“I am not stupid!”…he really is weird…weird… weird…

I said it yesterday, and I repeat it: the man makes Richard Nixon look like the very picture of well-adjusted mental health.

It was a speech to a joint session of Congress, but was not an official SOTU. Alito’s, “Not true” about Citizens United was during a SOTU–the following spring.

-“You Lie!”

"It was a State of the Union address in everything but the name when Rep. Joe Wilson interrupted Obama during a Sept. 9, 2009, speech to a joint session of Congress. As Obama was saying health care reform would not cover illegal immigrants, Wilson shouted, “You lie!”

Obama immediately stopped and responded, “That’s not true.”

Wilson later apologized to Obama and he was publicly rebuked by the House."

Huelskamp is as bad as any of the Bircherite Teanuts, but to the extent that idiots like him are even considering not voting for Trump, that’s good for us.

Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson told ITV’s Good Morning Britain that it “can’t be good” if Mr Trump were to be elected as US president in November.
“I’d agree with that. I have huge and infinite faith in the American people that he won’t be,” she said.

I wish I could share her faith in the American electorate, but I saw George W. Bush elected* and reelected to the office.

*Yeah, okay, selected by the Supreme Court, not elected, but still, he made the election close enough to steal.

The lack of self-awareness in these GOP turds is just amazing. The very TeaBaggers who elected Huelskamp created Trump. They just cannot let themselves admit that Trumpenstein is their monster. Of course, the path of GOP destruction was set when Ronny RayGun was elected and decided that kissing up to the likes of Jerry Falwell would be a good idea for the party. It might have seemed to work for a couple of decades, but the pernicious tumor is now killing the GOP body politic and the treatment they prescribe seems to be more radioactive material in their diet.
