Discussion: GOP Rep. Suggests FBI Look Into Staff Who Emailed Classified Info to Clinton

Given how many leaks there has been, why not every Republican on the committee gets a full investigation on them.

OK. We can’t get Hillary but maybe we can get somebody way down the line who had legitimate access to classified info but sent it to Hillary on the private server they didn’t know she had.

After they decide there is nothing here, they will just start something new. It is all about the election, because they realize the “Clown Car” is not going to win and hopefully the Dems will take the Senate back and maybe (big maybe) the house

They wont take the house, because the media is more interested in ratings so they will keep up the dog and pony show rather than doing their job and reporting just how bad Republicans are messing up the government.

And there are some IBEW Union guys who strung the cable that fed Hillary’s server. Look into them, too, would you please?

Investigate the INTERN! It’s ALWAYS about the intern! The one in BLUE dress with the STAIN in it! Call hearings! Did she lie!!! Americans DEMAND the TRUTH that’s OUT THERE and get EDUMACATED also too!!! WAKE UP SHEEPLE!!!111!@1one!!!

It is all reality TV, there is no news any longer, they never tell the full story, just bites that they know will get them ratings

WHY??? Is there a freakin’ thing these people COULD be doing rather than interminable investigations that don’t ever show squat?

And Intel too! And the Chinese!

Just investigate everyone! Just because there was no crime doesn’t mean that there is no conspiracy!

They are really trying to change the hole card from a deuce to an ace.

Has anybody suggested ‘Benghazi’ yet?

Actually, from a strictly legal standpoint (which I KNOW was not where he was coming from), he has a small point.

IF someone

  1. Knew material was classified secret or above
  2. Knew he was sending to a private server
  3. Knew said server did not meet security guidelines for classified material (in this case, reasonably believed might suffice)

Then, technically they met the letter of the law. Would I ever want to try that case as a prosecutor? Hell no. But the does illustrate the complexity of the actual issue of private servers in government. Which, a functioning congress would have, instead of a witch hunt, create legislation to properly address.

It might not be possible to secure a computer network at all. But it’s certainly not possible if the network is being run by its non-technical users who insist on taking whatever shortcut is convenient for them at the time. This kind of thing happens everywhere because IT people are considered servants, and the people in charge cannot be seen getting pulled up by them because it makes them look stupid. Most people are still not computer savvy and think of them as appliances. This is not going to change. They will always click on shiny objects, have zero patience for details, want to seem smart about things they don’t know about, expediency above all, and career politicians are probably going to be the worst. If Hillary Clinton got burned, assume that everyone in the room is pwned, because she might be the smartest, most straight up, most detail oriented of the bunch.

The burned hand teaches best, but we’ve been watching people get burned for 20 years and it seems to have no effect. IT people are not gardeners and housekeepers. Vet a very good IT person and keep them close to you, like a freaking bodyguard. Give them a red flag. In the meantime, assume there are no secrets at all. Of course, we’ll go through this whole thing with “Clinton’s emails” and not learn a single thing. A serious thing happened here, but this is not a Hillary problem. It’s structural.

Whooooo … Booooy …

At least let me catch my breath …

I would imagine these probes cost taxpayers a ton of money. I thought Republicans are against big spending (I suppose except when they want to spend on smearing the other side)!

If Congress only had a real job to do.

Why can’t Republicans just go after changing big things in government that make a difference in people’s lives instead of acting like miserable wretches? Don’t they see they have a blithering idiot of a candidate out there burning down their House and they think questioning how emails were sent are going to address their crisis?!! The public doesn’t give a twit if Hillary bent department rules over which conveyer belt she sent info on to her employees…Get over it and do something about your Party for god sake.
