Are even the people of Idaho willing to put up with this nonsense?
Counterpoint: Fuck you, you filthy liar.
He should lead by example and give up his family’s healthcare. Just go without it at all for a couple of years, or forever. It’d be great for him to have no coverage, then discover he’s got a Stage IV anything.
With any luck, he’ll also be out of a job next election.
“That line is so indefensible,” Labrador replied. “Nobody dies because they don’t have access to health care.”
Additionally, the anti-oxidants in foie gras and pan seared truffles ward off many diseases.
Following that line of reasoning, nobody ever dies from stupidity.
I know actual labradors that are smarter than this guy.
Actual Labrador characteristics:
Temperament: Outgoing, Intelligent, Agile, Gentle, Trusting, Even Tempered, Kind
Too bad he has none of these noble traits.
Yes. You need to understand that Republican voters believe, wrongly, that people who don’t have health insurance aren’t unfortunate.
They believe that such people are lazy, and that if they die, they’re getting what they deserve.
I saw a comment at Fox News the other day after the AHCA vote:
“Today is a victory for people who work for a living.”
You cannot reason with people who do not understand the very concept of reason.
I think he’s referring to the regulation that emergency rooms have to treat all patients that show up, but its the lack of access to regular, on-going healthcare to treat chronic conditions that often sends people to the emergency room in such dire condition that they die. Romney also argued this short sighted logic:
No. Sent this to my congressman: Mr. Labrador, my mother died because she lacked insurance. She was a real estate agent (no corporate insurance) and a breast cancer survivor, which at the time made her ineligible for insurance at any price. When she realized something was wrong and she needed a doctor, she thought about the costs and postponed her visit. She ended up in the ER a few months later and spent months getting dialysis and chemo because because a 95% curable cancer had been let to get out of hand. Her late stage care was monstrously expensive and it didn’t save her. The whole young family couldn’t come up with anything close to the bill payment so she died bankrupt. The hospital ate the cost. No doubt they raised prices, and insurance companies paid them and raised their premiums. Nobody won, not Mom, not the hospital, not the insurance companies, and not people like you whose premiums cost way too much. This is how lack of insurance kills people.
It’s a very sick and twisted view when you realize life is a terminal condition.
We are all going to need healthcare, simply a matter of when. And they know that. They simply care more about redistribution of income upwards and to punish women and minorities.
My first reaction exactly. And I vote for “forever.”
If that is what this mook really believes, take away his and his family’s health care insurance and see how they cope.My suspicion is this guy would not survive his next bout of diarrhea.
"Let them eat cake’ gets a modern update. Can the tumbrels be far behind?
Am I right a CBO score will be out on Monday?
Sometime next week, but I haven’t heard a specific day for it.
Right…nobody dies because of ‘access’…you slick talking mofo…but they die because they can’t get MEDICAL CARE when they are sick, or to diagnose their sickness. You are a fking FRAUD, Raul. You pretend these are your ‘principles’ when in reality you made sure YOU and your family were taken care of before you screwed everyone else. If this is your Christianity then you have been duped. You are morally challenged and ethically bereft.
Not as smart as an actual Labrador (of any “race” -black, yellow or chocolate).
