Discussion: GOP Rep. Presses Lynch On Why She Didn't Recuse Herself In Clinton Probe

If Republicans think Lynch should have recused herself from this investigation because of potential political conflicts, wouldn’t it also be true that Republicans should recuse themselves from these fucking committee hearings?

Mmmmm…what’s that I smell? It smells like Republican desperation to me!

Yep. The new strategy is just drag it out and try to keep it in the news for four more months. Then once Clinton is elected, start impeachment proceedings. Gawd we need a new congress…

If I was Lynch I’d ask them if they were going to hold another vote to repeal Obamacare now.

The republicans, starting with the FBI director, know exactly what they are doing. By continually questioning Hillary’s integrity they keep the focus off Trump. Consequentially the gap in the polls continues to close. Hopefully Bernie’s endorsement today can bring a bit of a reprieve from the constant slanting and misinformation on the email issue.

Made me laugh, too. I can just hear her saying (in her typical professional tone), “I am sorry to have taken congressional time away from your next attempt to repeal Obamacare.”

I was thinking the same thing! I would have paid money to hear her say that to Goodlatte’s face!

Investigate her! And Clapper too, ASAP! As many times as it takes (to get the perp walk pictures!)

That’s the smell of gop/bags “dumpster fire” politics!

I love the smell of (bagger) desperation in the morning…

I was thinking the way to begin was to say, “I want to thank you for taking time from your unceasing efforts to repeal Obamacare to talk to me.” Much better to be polite than confrontational.

Being polite doesn’t work on members of a political party that requires removal of the polite gene to gain membership, i.e. see Joe Walsh, Steve King and gosh darn it too many to type.

Watching these Teatrolls throw a nutty tantrum over the complete collapse of their entire “Plan A” 2016 POTUS election year strategy is FUCKING HILARIOUS.

Somebody please give these guys more coffee…More yelling and frustration please!

If the Republicans think that this plays to anyone–any person–beyond their immediate base, they are fools.

Which should not surprise.

Haha…which smells strangely like 10-12 Teatrolls trying to piss on a dumpster fire to put it out.

I wonder if they cross streams or avoid it…I can see a couple of the family values bloviators “sword fighting” for sure though…

Quite correct, but I wouldn’t expect it to work on them anyway. It’s just much better optics for the sane people. It may not seem that way, but the sane people actually outnumber the others. The important thing is to motivate the sane people to vote. All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for sane people to take sanity for granted.

Now that’s an image that I didn’t need in my head.

There is a very big problem with that strategy, however. Namely, that the other half of if…keeping Trump under wraps and away from microphones and twitter (which they have largely been doing heading into the convention) won’t last. And as soon as Trump starts babbling again, the focus turns right back on him.

Whenever I see Loretta Lynch, she strikes me as person of tremendous intellect and integrity. If she were 5 years younger, I think she would make an ideal nominee for the Supreme Court. (She is 57 now.)

I hope she is one of the people Hillary is considering for the nomination.

What dickheads the Republicans are. Always searching to smear someone, condescending, smug and willing to conduct many investigations on the same subject when they don’t ‘like’ the answers.
