Rarely do I agree with Pete King, but while I do here, I still believe that he understates the case.

Also, it is worth noting that the Liberty University students attending Cruz’s carnival side show were required to attend.

I always want to slap the hell out of these establishment types who’ve made their career off saying incendiary, hateful, awful comments about Democrats, Liberals, and the president, and then turn around and act all surprised when their fellow lawmakers react accordingly. It frustrates them to no end that TP types like Cruz won’t stick to the GOP playbook of saying one thing and doing another. That’s their real problem with Ted Cruz.

This is shaping up nicely, right on cue.

Wait a minute! Rep. King didn’t say that Sen. Cruz was a better carnival barker than a president. He just said that Cruz’s actions were that of a carnival barker. Cruz might be as crappy a carnival barker as he would be a president.

A few of them wore their “Stand with Rand” T-shirts for the occasion.

Cruz’s family supported Castro. King’s family supported the IRA. One would think there would be professional courtesy between terrorists.

What’s come over Pete King lately? This is at least the fourth more or less sane comment he’s made in as many weeks It’s a far cry from seven months ago when he had his knickers in a twist over Obama wearing a tan suit in August (http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/president-obama-peter-king-tan-suit-rant).

Has he decided that the competition from Louie Gohmert and Steve King for the nuttiest Representative in the House is too stiff? Or does he feel that since Michele Bachmann left the competition simply lacks real challenge?

Why do I keep hearing, "The republican’s first major contender " when I also keep hearing he has no chance of wining? If you have no chance of wining how can you be a major contender?

Holy crap… how the hell do I become a Carnival Barker if they’re allowed to shut down the federal government??

It would seem, even for guys like King, is they know Cruz is not interested in governance…only ego.

At very least he would be a loathsome carnival barker. Wait, wasn’t that a character in Twin Peaks?

GOP’s Pete King: Step right up… ladies and gentlemen… kids and your dogs too…

Uncharacteristically, it’s quite subtle of King. He’s calling Cruz “Carnival Cruz” without actually calling him Carnival Cruz.

Pot meet kettle.

Peter King is a joke and carnival barker himself.

This guy agrees.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report) – A disturbed Canadian man wants to try to get into the White House, according to reports.

The man, who was born in Calgary before drifting to Texas, has been spotted in Washington, D.C. in recent years exhibiting erratic behavior, sources said.

In 2013, he gained entry to the United States Senate and was heard quoting incoherently from a children’s book before he was finally subdued.

More recently, he was heard ranting about a plan to dismantle large components of the federal government, such as the Internal Revenue Service and the nation’s health-care program.

Despite a record of such bizarre episodes and unhinged utterances, observers expressed little concern about his plans to get into the White House, calling them “delusional.”

Love Andy Borowitz.
