Discussion: GOP Rep: Obama Impeachment 'Probably Could' Pass The House (AUDIO)

Call me cynical, but if The Four Brave Americans were gunned down on a street in Washington D.C., nobody would talk about it But they were in North Africa so their murder is exceptional and somebody with a D in back of his or her name has to pay.

The talk of impeachment is just appeasing the base and good for fundraising, but as another TPMer said, and I thank you, whoever you are, the House Rs must really, really want Joe Biden to be president.

I’m reminded of the skit, I believe it was on Conan’s show at the time, when “Bill Clinton,” discussing his impeachment and his resulting soaring approval ratings, said with his trademark chuckle and drawl: “Heck, I probably oughta bang a few more interns!”

Put it to a vote with the American population on who should be impeached, jailed, sent to the Hague or dropped into Iraq with your very own weenie gun. Great way to clean the slime off the United States of America once and for all.
oh one more item, No Appeals

The Tea Party/Republicans constantly screams about the Constitution and yet they have absolutely no Constitutional knowledge. I really really hope they try and impeach Obama the House the Senate and the White House will be in the hands of Democrats for decades.

Do. It. I double-dog dare you. Don’t listen to those who say it’s a fool’s errand, or will backfire on you or will make you and the rest of the House GOP caucus look like even bigger asshats than you do already.

I mean, it is and it will, but don’t let that stop you. Do. It.

The best thing would be to impeach every tea partier in the House. I’m sure we would have the votes :).

This Barletta guy hails from my old neck of the woods. He was the mayor of Hazelton, PA for two years who gained his notoriety with his anti immigration stance. The good ole folks in Hazelton didn’t like all those brown people moving into the area and vowed to make the city one of the toughest cities in the US for illegals and made English the official language of Hazelton which was interesting because most people there spoke pennsyltucky . The ACLU took him to court and won, as the act was declared unconstitutional for interfering with federal immigration laws and was upheld on appeal. Sadly, the ignorance and hate runs rampant in my old neck of the woods - which is why I am so happy I got out when I did.

So do it. Please.

They’re waiting until after November.

No, no. They’re much more realistic than they appear. They know the Senate won’t go for it.
(although, if they truly had a chance to pick off the pres, you think they wouldn’t do it? I bet my life that they would.)

The President majored in Constitutional law and taught Constitutional law at the college level. Anybody want to bet he could blow this little twerp off the stage in a debate about what’s actually in the Constitution?

“Wow! What a statesman like comment! Downright Churchillian!”

But seriously – it’s pretty darn reptilian, too. With the emphasis on Rep.

Um, so the charge is “ignoring the Constitution?”
He does realize that they have to come up with specific charges, right?
