Discussion: GOP Rep. Insists Lawsuit Against Obama Not Political

For all their macho posturing, Teabaggers are yellow little poltroons. They’re not going to impeach the President, at least not until after the midterms when they think they stand a chance. Even the most open-mouthed biters of the teabag realize it would have the same result for them that it did last time. Thus, the phony lawsuit at your expense and mine.

Republicans are all about presentation of self, and they’re not very good at it. Maybe they should take off their pants and ride a bull, ala their hero Putin.

Please, list specifically which “freedoms” this president, solely by presidential action, has taken from the “average American.” Actual, real, enumerated freedoms under the constitution. Actual, factual, with examples. For instance, “he wants to take away our guns” is not backed up by any actual action to, you know, “take away our guns.” Actions to enforce the law, as it stands, by the way, are something the president does, and which “Libs” claims the president should be charged with NOT doing.

And, as a hint, if you list the Affordable Care Act, which was passed by a majority of Congress, signed by the President, and upheld by the Supreme Court (a court, I may add, with some of the most conservative members in our history), then to demonstrate your clear lack of understanding of what the Constitution actually calls for when it comes to “We the People.”

I suspect your list will be as strong as the one that this “suit” will present if - and a big if - it actually is introduced and allowed to move forward in the courts.

Go ahead, list please…

I thought the GOP was against frivolous lawsuits.

Then why a lawsuit? I thought the uptight-righties were against frivolous lawsuits and wasting taxpayer dollars.

Are you kidding? Banks and insurance companies aren’t robbing me anywhere near as blind as when Bush was president.

Do you ever go out and work or buy things?

Crazy talk, that.

Nope, what’s once again coming is your sock account being banished. Sure as shyte!

Obama didn’t exceed his authority – he used it to outmaneuver the obstructionistic, filibuster-happy Senate minority and the unprecedentedly nonproductive House majority.

Naw. GOTPers are against anything that does not benefit their whining little selves

Workandfreedom, here is the Merriam-Webster definition of “tyrant”:

1a :  an absolute ruler unrestrained by law or constitution b :  a usurper of sovereignty 2a :  a ruler who exercises absolute power oppressively or brutally b :  one resembling an oppressive ruler in the harsh use of authority or power

Obama is NOT an absolute ruler as evidenced by our republican form of government. He is one of the 3 parts that make up our federal government.
Obama is not a usurper since he operates within the existing structure.
Obama does not have absolute power, that should be obvious to any thinking human
And finally he is hardly oppressive. If you want oppressive take a look at how ISIS operates over in Syria/Iraq.
I would suggest you find a copy of the Constitution and read it. Better still find a class in basic civics and attend it. You might be surprised at what you’ll learn.

The first huge brouhahah I remember was when Obama extended a business ACA deadline by a year, doing exactly the implementation function he’s supposed to do like you said. Bush not only issued many signing statements saying “nice law, gonna ignore it” but appointed people on a religious and political allegience to Bush basis, besides presenting untrue and intentionally misleading information to Congress and no doubt a hundred other things that could have called fof a lawsuit or impeachment, without a peep. And of course Republicans are entirely about the deficit these days, while being silent for eight years of tax cuts and wild spending which ended the paying down of the existing debt during Clinton. Not a peep about the deficit then also of course.

In conclusion…being president while being a Democrat and even worse black it all we’re left with.

“its. not about wanting to stop him from doing hi s job. it’s our wanting to do the job the constitution prescibes.”

lol! if the republicans were doing the job"the constitution prescribes," . president obama would not have issued the executive orders!

In fact Obama has issued far fewer executive orders that most of the recently preceding Presidents.

Goodlatte (good grief–the ultimate yuppie name!) then went on to insist that the sun rises in the west and sets in the east. He further asserted that water is dry.

I doubt that Libs is aware of just whom Mr Goebbels was. Knowledge of Karl Rove might be questionable as well.
It seems the M.O. of Libs is to toss fractured verbal bombs and then run away.

This Sunday’s lovefest was no different from Chris Wallace other shows.
Why didn’t Wallace ask exactly what executive action that the President took that would be consider over stepping his constitution duty or not following or ignoring the constitution?

What specific laws have he violate?

Or is it the kind of EOs that TBGOP don’t like (EPA reg., raising min wage for federal workers, extending benefits for gay federal workers, grants for housing improvement Indian reservations, invested in infrastructure projects, science /tech., education, etc.)?

This is just like the rest of their dumb-ass brain storms outrage. Where the allegation/accusation trump reality. And the media jump all over it (like a dog in heat)… Both are a embarrassment to the country…

Why didn’t Wallace asked, why TBGOP blocking Veteran benefits, Immigration reform, infrastructure bill, a real Budget, Gun Reform, Student Loan Reform, Minimum Wage Increase.

Is this over the new EPA standard and they’ll afraid the next EO coming down the pipeline?

Review: Just another Sunday ‘Dog and Pony’ show. To cover-up the IRS tribunal scam failing, Benghazi tribunal that’s failing for the 20th time (master-mind behind the attack is in US custody), failed to get the Amer. people hype over POW coming home, McCain & Co. failing at trying to get another military confrontation.

I am waiting for WorkandFreedom’s reply . . . . …

Wow, behold the latest Republican fantasy, that this lawsuit isn’t political. These guys might as well go around singing “I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles.”

“I’m forever blowing bubbles, Pretty bubbles in the air, They fly so high, Nearly reach the sky, Then like my dreams, They fade and die. Fortune’s always hiding, I’ve looked everywhere, I’m forever blowing bubbles, Pretty bubbles in the air.”

The fact that the speaker has absolutely NO idea what the grounds for this lawsuit are, when they are trumpeting to high heaven in the media that a suit is imminent, gives the lie to the “not political” claim. Mr. Goober Latte should know better than to spew bullshit to his base when smarter folks are listening, cuz WE aren’t that stupid.

Please tell me you really are not this stupid as to equate a SCOTUS decision with a law suit by the house.

And sparky the recress appointment decision wasn’t a loss for Obama it was a definition of recess appointments for Obama and all future Presidents.
