Maybe Mr Brooks should look at what republican corporate winger free trade agreements, tax polices and financial deregulatory policies have done to Americas labor market and American jobs instead of focusing on immigrants who in most cases take jobs that Americans wonât do!!

I in no way think this guyâs not a complete moron and jerk. And I know itâs complicated. And I know economic analyses have said itâs not a big deal. But there is some truth in his statement that âAll lower and middle income American workers have suffered from suppressed wages caused by the surge in both illegal alien and lawful immigrant labor supply.â
Formerly union contractors and lawn service companies and small stores now routinely pay everyone in cash for a reason. Itâs tax evasion Greek style, not to mention employment law evasion to save money. Itâs not the often repeated thing that they are all doing jobs Americans donât want. Americans donât want some jobs because they pay too little because the employer can hire undocumented instead, or exploit them with horrible working conditions they canât complain about, or both.
If the employees are legal they can also get SNAP and maybe more without reporting their actual income. Corporations with their visas for white collar workers they pretend to not be able to get here are a well documented violation that hurts American employees as well.
Of course no Republican ever supports anything that will do anything about the actual unfairness. That would take money and Big Government and more federal employees and Socialism. And the oppression and expense of a mandated verification system or gof forbid a national ID. Kind of reminds me of the necessity of a gun show loophole.
