Regardless of the wave (in this case-Trump), a strong politician can usually survive these movements.
It often takes an equally strong candidate or unforseen events (Barry) for that guy or gal to get pushed out.
N here’s another example of a strong (and very efficient) politician.
Good for you! I live in one of the nearby districts that are reliably blue. This one should be too, but they have been gerrymandering it forever for the benefit of her predecessor, and a lot of people didn’t bother to vote last time. So frustrating.
