I guess I see it differently. Calling for something usually means actively voicing a position on it when and where that can make a difference. Agreeing that it would be nice doesn’t match my understanding of calling for something.
This could have legs if the crowd keeps up the pressure on him to actively press the Judiciary Committee to subpoena Trump’s tax filings. If nothing else, his failure to act even under pressure from his constituents, can become an election issue for every district with a rep on this committee.

No Republican will subpoena Trumps tax records. Trump would resign rather than have them released.

Saw that on Rachel last night. Appalling lack of planning followed by a total lack of interest as the botched operation went down. If Obama – hell, even Bush – did something like that, they would have impeached on the spot.

Until he actually does something to compel Little Donnie trump to release at least 10 years of tax returns and signs a demand to establish an independent prosecutor to investigate the Russian Connection he is just another lying Republican.

Much as I hate to own up to it, Gaetz is my representative. No way that I voted for the guy. And I’m in the crowd of protester at one of his three public appearance that day. We gave the guy hell in front of the local news crew.
Just getting him to say Trump should release his tax returns is a major shift. Trump made two campaign visits to Pensacola, the biggest town in the district, and Gaetz was there as his biggest booster. Gaetz hitched his congressional wagon to Trump and is a Trump toady, through and through. I hope this represents is a gleam of hope that the GOP will turn on Trump and kick his ass off…

Good to know, Matt. I’ll be among the millions watching, and laughing our collective asses off, when you realize that having Trump’s back means letting him shit and fart all over you.
That’s ridiculous. How can you get lower than Alabama? 
I wish, but not really. Trump’s polling numbers - while historically low for a new President - are still only about 5%-10% below his share of the vote. Wait until those numbers are more than 10-15% below (I.e., less 30-35%) before the under-the-bus tossing begins in earnest.
