Discussion: GOP Rep: Benghazi Committee Ex-Staffer Just Had A Disagreement With Investigators

Discussion for article #241635

Riiiiight. It was only political because the staffer thought it was.

Mr. Labrador, I think you spent way too much time on the roof of the Romney’s station wagon.

Republicans: “Ohhhh…disgruntled staffer. You know you can trust US! Nothing partisan about OUR investigation…move along.”

This is a real quandary for the GOP. If they admit they were targeting Sec. Clinton, they lose some Democratic and Independent votes. If they contend they were conducting the Benghazi hearings in a fair and impartial manner. they lose their Republican base.

CNN had Tom Cole, R, and Raul Labrador, R, on hand to give both sides of the debate. They had asked Gowdy to come on but he declined. No word on whether they even asked the Ranking Member or ANY Ds to weigh in.

From CNN:

He said half the staff was “surfing the Web all day long” and said “there was plenty of drinking during the work day.”

And while he was reprimanded for sharing an invitation to an event with his colleagues via work email, he said a group of staffers had set up a “gun buying club” for “chrome-plated, monogrammed Tiffany-style Glock nine millimeters” and that staffers would spend “hours at a time” designing the guns.

Likely, they are using government owned computers. Should be easy to check that accusation out. Don’t hold your breath waiting for it though.

Now there’a denial that’s close to an admission of guilty as charged.

The Benghazi investigation is 100% political, and it’s still ongoing for no other reason than to muddy Clinton and Obama’s waters. Republicans don’t give a shit about what actually happened. It is 100% political. Republicans are shoving taxpayer money into a furnace for purely political purposes and it’s extremely obvious. Benghazi was 3 years ago, and as much as I hate to say this, it was a pretty minor event in the grand scheme of things. The same shit happened under Bush W. multiple times and there were no exhaustive investigations. And prior investigations into Benghazi revealed no wrongdoing by anybody within the administration.

Who in the everlasting fuck actually believes the Benghazi investigation isn’t fully political? How stupid does somebody have to be to not see this for what it is? Jesus Christ.

The guy was fired. This wasn’t a ‘disagreement’. He was canned by a group of day drinking fuck off’s who had nothing better to do during the day.

Typical GOP gibberish for “that guy had an agenda that wasn’t political!”, I guess.

I’m sure they never considered it. It’s like “Meet the Press” tuning itself into the “Sen. John McCain Attacks Hour” after he LOST the Presidential race!

So there labrador, the benghazi-gaism didn’t turn out quite as you thought it would…

The rest of the world knew it was nothing but a Clinton smear campaign paid for by US tax payers. Now, even the house gop/bags admit it.

Gotta suck for you!

Yes. Let’s.

The Republican Congress is using taxpayer dollars for their political campaigns. Get GOP hands out of our pockets!

He is interested in honing his double-talk skills and he’ll have much more opportunity defending against the lawsuit, UNLESS he arranges a settlement and declares a “moral victory.”

Now everybody pay particular attention to the GOP claims that this guy is just a disgruntled ex-employee.

That is going to matter, because one of the Planned Parenthood committees is going to be bringing an actual disgruntled ex-employee up to testify…one that stands to make a few million off of her accusations.

And we will never hear the words “disgruntled ex-employee” mentioned once while she is in the news.

Let’s see - what could this Benghazi committee possibly do and what could its purpose possibly be that is any different than the other 7 or 8 Benghazi investigations that have found no wrongdoing (most of them led by Republicans)? Could it be - get Hillary? Naaah!

I can’t say they were drinking; Biden was accused of being a total shameful drunk on these boards till one of us pointed out he is a complete teatotaller.

But um, what we can reconstruct is that these jokers were teahadding, bloviating expansively about what the voters clearly elected them to do, etc. And now they created a problem I think.

And tell me again why Kevin McCarthy isn’t the speaker ?

You know, I have to admit that this Labrador guy is truly disgusting to me. In fact when any of these tea party reps talk, they all seem to have that same look in their eyes…like they have no clue what the fuck they are suppose to think or say…much less, they can’t even communicate what the fuck they think or believe. Because in order to clearly communicate their stances, they would have to outright and come out and admit they hate all people who are not christians, who hate all Black people, they also hate Hispanics who are not here legally, they hate that the LGBT community no longer have to hide in the closet about who they love, they all believe that women should be submissive to their husbands and don’t you dare talk about you wanting contraceptives, much less needing or wanting a legal abortion.

Its a good thing that I can read between the lines when these people speak, but it appears to me that many of their supporters are blind to that fact and they just don’t give a crap. But this Labrador guy, and others like him, think they are truly part of the pack…but I bet his ole white buds talk about how he sucks when his back is turned…in other words, he has lost sight that they are only using him and in the end, they are wanting to throw his ass out of the US too!

All this goes to show you just how difficult it is to be a GoP in these modern days and time.
