Discussion for article #229551
Pennsylvania: Philadelphia to the East, Pittsburgh to the West, Kentucky in the middle
You can always count on the Republicans and Teapers to find away far below the bar in order to win the “limbo” contest. Cheap shots and no integrity when it comes to seeking power.
Why would any self respecting gay person still be a member of the Republican party?
Of course, none of his constituents will find anything wrong with that.
Why is it that homophobes seem absolutely obsessed with gay sex?
I know gay men who aren’t as obsessed with gay sex as homophobes are!
Maybe they should just stop fooling themselves and come to grips with themselves already.
Making fun of teh gays is sooooo 2008. The new group to publicly attack and malign (and it seems to be accepted by a good amount of people) are Muslims. Guess this Goper didn’t get the memo.
good grief… that’s the kind of crap done in grade school… esp stick figures!!! how lame.
AntiSachetDeThe: With all due respect to you and James Carville, since the advent of the “Reagan Democrat” almost two generations ago, Pittsburgh has become more like Kentucky while the “T” has always been more like Alabama, sans African Americans, of course.
Tom Ritchey likes to draw cartoons of men having sex. I think there’s little question as to his sexuality.
His fantasy Republican outreach is a “reach around”.
I’m sure they’re gripping tight as they think about gay sex.
Was their a diagram too. Like place stick A in fig. 1 in hole B in stick fig. 2?
Everyone knows that gays have sex, the women also too, but for some reason these Repub men are focused on guys rear ends. That is sort of a giveaway isn’t it about what is really on their minds.
This race has been the most disgusting and vile race I have ever seen and all of the hostility is coming from several higher ranking Republican individuals. Mr. Fleck has handled himself with dignity and has risen above the name-calling and bulls*** these people have thrown his way. Tom Ritchey has been posting bigot comments for a few weeks and the bully behavior of the local Republican party members will cost Mr. Irvin a lot of votes.
Now is the time for all good men [and women] to come to the aid of Fleck’s party!
Proving again that Tea-Bagger Republicans are pathetically stuck at the social age of 14 and incapable of maturing any more.
What the hell is WRONG with those people?
They’re conservatives.
It’s often a fatal flaw.
The post depicted two male stick figures having sex and was styled using symbols from President Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign.
Really??? Naughty gay stick figures???
So childish. So hateful. So Republican.
This party certainly reaps what they sow. The thought of this being a battle fought right here in the 81st was a slight inevitability considering that the Republican party truly is caving in on itself. Having gone unchecked for their consistent bigotry (among various other platform stances) for all these years is causing the party to implode. Mike Fleck is the pivot into reality that the Republicans need to stay relevant in this century. I applaud his stance, courage, and, perhaps after this victory, his resilience. I’m confident that no matter which way the Republican wind blows, Mr. Fleck will dust himself off and continue to be a force to be reckoned with.
