Bury the bastards in paper, folks.

I’m sure every GOP’er is counting the days to the 2018 mid-terms, and hoping that their clueless followers will be stupid enough to forget the stupidity they will do today.

My guess would be that they’ll find a way to pass it in the House, simply because too much is at stake for Trump and Ryan. Never mind that the bill is horrible.

It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out in the Senate.

Points to a Breitbart article in which Bannon is said to be panning “Ryan bill - written by the insurance industry.”

Protecting Dear Leader.

It sure would be nice if some Democratic leaders would loudly promote an alternative to the Republican Health Kill plan, like single payer and medicare for all.

Being anti-Republican is necessary but not sufficient to win elections. Perhaps one day Democrats will learn that voters come out when they have something to vote for, as well as against.

So does anyone have any idea what’s in the bill? The Rules committee people are too sleep-deprived to remember, and no one else has been allowed to read it…

Don’t underestimate the enmity many Congresscritters have for Ryan. His schtick got old a long, looong time ago.

Once we take the oil and collect the NATO protection money Trump will have plenty of cash for all of his programs.

You get an F in strategic thinking. Yes, it should be a goal, but why is now a good time to scream about single payer?

Have you figured out how it’s going to be funded? Have you figured out any part of implementing it here?

You want it. Swell. Let’s elect more democrats, because it has zero chance of passing right now.

I tend to agree. They will argue loudly and.mightily about the precise form and nature the dickishness will take, but in the end, they will all agree that it’s just being dicks that counts. My bet, the bill passes with votes to spare.

How the GOP keeps promises:

We promised to pass things to make things better. If we pass things to make things worse, no one will will not notice the difference, right? After all we passed something.

Trump logic at its finest.

On a state level, Vermont tried to formulate a SP system, but gave up. CA is working on one. Perhaps, if the the Pacific states, CA, OR and WA got together as a consortium, the critical population mass would be sufficient to have a go at SP.

I’m on Obamacare (all praises to the Muslim-in-chief!). And even I – almost, sort of – hope the GOP passes Ryan’s Folly. 'Tis the gift that keeps giving. Watching the Wisconsin Whiz Kid (er, Whizzer) be exposed for the fraud that he is doing wonders for lowering my blood pressure. Plus the Senate will never pass it (except I also thought Trump could never be elected).

The exercise today is for Ryan to get the R gang to fall in, line up, and pass a bill that only serves to hurt Americans, and that the R gang have no idea of what they at voting for or against. That last part is important so that in 2018 when their constituents are aghast at what they lost, their haha representatives will be able to deny that they knew how bad it would be.
Trumpsky can smile no matter how the vote goes. This is about Ryan proving he has power. Repubicanistan voters shoulda known better, so they deserve what they are going to get. The rest of us majority are unfortunately going to get the same horse fucking.

This would be a great first step.

It seems like an obvious device for the blue Pacific states to form a consortium. Not just on single payer either,

Trump supporters are like the rest of us as far as health care is concerned. They want affordable health care that covers them without a high deductible. Many of them like Medicaid and are envious of Medicaid recipients. Members of Congress most likely read the Washington Post and likely have seen this story I linked to last January:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/plum-line/wp/2017/01/05/what-do-working-class-white-trump-voters-really-want-from-our-health-system-not-what-you-think/

They will be committing political suicide by making this bill law unless they have a plan b for making votes disappear.
