No surprise. Still, I’m always sickened by these regressive Christofascist bottomfeeding scum and these targeted and pandering political efforts to do harm to innocent people and their use of their ‘religion’ as the instrument to do it. On a personal note, I have a son in east Africa who, for two years and with his husband, has been helping to set up simple vaccination stations in Tanzania. They met in med school and have been inseparable ever since, true soul mates, and my wife and I as well as his two older brothers are proud of them both beyond words. And one hair on the head of either of those two young men is worth more than the sum of all the hate filled, paranoid and regressive TEAlibangelical trash and their political servants in this country.

In 2012, Mississippi ranked second in the nation for overall diabetes prevalence, with over 276,000 adult Mississippians having type 2 diabetes (over 12.5% of the adult population).
Four of every 1,000 Mississippi deaths were from diabetes in 2012, accounting for 1,039 total deaths. In addition, many more Mississippians live with the complications of type 2 diabetes, including lower extremity amputations, end stage renal disease, blindness, loss of protective sensation, heart disease and premature death.

Civil rights activist Charles Evers has endorsed Donald Trump for president, touting what Evers refers to as the current Republican front-runner’s business acumen.

@littlegirlblue… Thinning the herd is part of the ‘white supremacy’… so wouldn’t diabetes part of the thinning process? It goes hand-in-hand with the RW’ers cutting funds for education, SNAP, Planned Parenthood (gotta have hungry, fearful folks to mow lawns, clean houses, raise babies for the rich). There’s a bill on the table in Arkansas to cut funding for PBS sponsored by a couple of BibleThumpin’ white guys. I could go on …but I won’t.
