The GOP thinks the entire state of MA is a liberal RINO stronghold that doesn’t really count. It’s the home of RomneyCare, so it holds an especially suspect place in GOP lore. The only legit governors in GOP land are white, male, southern, racist, homophobic, anti-education, anti-Medicare/Medicaid, anti-abortion, christianists. All those so-called “colleges”, “universities” and grad schools in the northeast (Ivy League) are just for latte-drinking, kale-eating, Volvo-driving liberals. The REAL institutions of learning are, of course, Liberty University and its wannabes.
