Imangine if the Gop did control the house, senate and the presidency… the last time this happened the Gop passed the “clean air act”… which lowered air quality standards. Plus many other laws that hurt regular people.

It is pretty astonishing to see how many people will vote for these clowns, over and over, while failing to realize that passing legislation that hurts regular people is the only thing the Republicans ever do.
At this point, they could run on a platform where they publicly declare that “We will hurt you if you vote for us” and they’d still likely get 40% of the vote.
It boggles the mind.

“Revelations” that showed no laws broken, no actions different from what hospitals currently do… nothing (!) that is immoral. Just emotional arguments based upon distortion and lies.
And now they want to shut down the government with yet another baseless political stunt. An action that creates significant real and concrete costs to the tax payer. The Republican party is a cancer.

Another GOP manufactured “crisis” brought to you by protect the fetus and abandon the child/single parent. Not to mention that if they cut federal funding to PP the insured will pay higher premiums in order to subsidize the hospitals and emergency room visits of uninsured woman. Thanks GOP

So let’s say they get the 20-week ban past a filibuster and Obama has to veto it. It’s 2015, and the GOP leadership is trying to scuttle “We hate women a lot and want many of them to die unpleasantly” in favor of “We hate women, but not quite that much, and we only want a few of them to die unpleasantly.” That’s the level of kinder, gentler messaging (since neither bill stands a chance of becoming law) they’re working on?

Why can’t the GOP just be happy with cutting food and nutrition assistance to poor and disadvantaged children AFTER they’re born? They’re successful at it, Dems acquiesce eventually in exchange for getting some judge nominee out of committee, and everyone is happy. Except the hungry kids. Kids are resilient though, I’m sure they can rummage around and scrounge up some bootstraps somewhere.

Any ____ bill that defunded _______ would likely be blocked by Democrats and vetoed by President Obama. GOP leadership has acknowledged that such a shutdown fight could have political consequences for the party, as _______'s popularity among Americans has continued despite the allegations.
Also ___day, the _____ – a group of __ or so conservative members known for disrupting leadership’s plans – released a statement suggesting they weren’t looking to back down on the issue.

Employees of Planned Parenthood all know they work in a highly sensitive, controversial business. They’re acutely aware half of Congress, at all times, is looking for ways to shut them down, defund them, make their abortion services illegal. They live with the threat of violence, arson, vandalism and harassment. Pretend for a second you’re one of those employees. Why would you flap your jaws, to anyone about anything, related to your business unless by order of a court? Here’s a suggestion for PP employees: Just STFU and perform your services. Otherwise don’t expect much sympathy when you fill the pot with oil, turn the burner to high, and then drop yourself in for a swim.

We have learned that since being elected to majority positions in both chambers of Congress, the Republicans in DC have continued the fine Bush-inspired inability to walk and chew gum at the same time. Both John Boehner and Mitch McConnell have done little besides handing victory after victory to President Obama. A case can be made that both are “Manchurian Candidate” styled Democratic Party operatives seeking to destroy the GOP from within!

All f you have to vote even if it is a vote for the lesser evil.I am 59 now…I so wish we had all voted 3rd party in the earlier 70’s as it would look way different now…this is a big mistake my generation made.It makes me sad…but I must vote to at least get these filthy right wingers out.
