Discussion for article #235072
Louisiana: Justifiably at the bottom of every list measuring quality of life.
They are just incapable of learning, aren’t they?
The JOS (Jindal Operating System) is programmed to choose either “Pander” or “Worst option availble” when solving a problem.
And, yet they have the highest incarceration rate in America.
Let’s face it, ISIS is well and alive in this country! Individuals like this cretin need to be treated as such, as a terrorist!
With assholes like Johnson, it’s their way or the highway and that’s dangerous for anyone’s religious freedom!
I believe that people like Johnson are more dangerous than terrorists with guns!
He needs to be shamed publicly and ridiculed everywhere he goes! This jerk is pushing the envelope and needs to be pushed into a corner and made to squeal like a stuck pig!
Playing nice with these type of people never works!
Contact this arsehole and tell him about your right to be free from religious assholes just like himself @:

I have to admit that I am baffled by the amount of time and energy that some in the GOP will expend in order to allow people to discriminate against the LGBT community. What ever happened to Let Freedom Ring and Don’t Tread on Me? In immortal words of Rodney King, “Can we all get along?”
Apparently not. This idea of Religious Freedom has been turned from a shield into a sword. To the GOP, everything is a weapon.
Bobby Jindal is a total douche bag, of course he’ll go for it!
Note that it is “Don’t Tread on Me”. That slogan says nothing about treading on Thee.
Spite makes might!
Dear TPM:
Please stop referring to these as “religious freedom” laws. Their purposes are not to promote religious freedom, but rather to codify bigotry and create a new wedge issue to drive up 2016 voter turnout of fundamentalists, evangelicals and bigots.
Sigh…anyone for some bread to go with their circus? That’s what this is. This is the epitome of Bread and Circuses. Politicians need to be seen doing something- anything- to uphold the “values” of the people who vote for them. Knowing that these bills will likely not survive very long, they put them out there. The expectation is that the law will spark outrage and they can then claim that they are in the right and blame the demise of the bill on the “Big Bad Left”. Wash, Rinse, Repeat!
I love that the economy is so good that the GOP has shifted their laser job focus on things like religious freedom bills.
They want a victory somewhere. Somewhere that there’s enough hate and ignorance.
Come on down to Louisiana. We welcome bigots here.
I’d hate to want that as a description for my state.
I imagine New Orleans will agree.
Mississippi is happy that Louisiana exists to make them look better, just like the cute girl who keeps a fat girl as a "friend’ in a vain effort to look better by comparison.
Anyway, if Scotty Walker has his way, Wisconsin (Mississippi-North) is coming down fast to challenge them.
I know these laws explicitly disclaim use against protected classes, but if your religion requires you to pay women less for the same work, does this mean the state is going to support you against the feds?
I see no difference between refusing service because of someone’s race and someone’s sexual identity. This sure smacks of the segregation I saw as a kid in the 50’s and 60’s.
Let’s give this a chance to appease God to stop sending hurricanes from punishing the state.

Which, according to the right wing, turns straights into gays. To them, apparently, prison is nothing more than a gay-making machine!! How do they plan to immigrate all those outgoing newly knighted gays into the Gay Mafia Agenda intent on turning all boys and girls homo?
