This guy needs to be taken out back and just beat the living shit out of him.

Among its other flaws, this clown’s proposal rests on at least one monumentally faulty premise, i.e., that every Republican Senator will vote for this legislative abomination. It’s unlikely that it would get even a simple majority - not every legislator is suicidal.

GOP Brat: “He wants to be respectful of the Senate rules. I do not…Whoever is sitting in the chair can rewrite the rules.”

Always the way with Republicans, isn’t it?

“Rules are for chumps.”

“Taxes are for little people.”

“We’re above the law.”

Today’s GOP: They don’t even try to hide it any more.

This Brat is way over-cooked and way past his expiration date. He wouldn’t cut the mustard.

This is the guy who complains about women up in his grill. He has a Ph.D., which, legitimately, makes him a “whackademic”

The senators have to face an entire state not the gerrymandered district you inhabit, I doubt they want to commit political suicide for your particular branch of Republican ideology

Probably as good a time as any to break out this oldie-but-goodie: http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/david-brat-cspan-crank-caller

Democrats, especially in the House, should have one legislative priority, given the numbers: offer an amendment that makes any changes take effect immediately. They should be able to split off enough of the crazies to add the amendment, making the whole rotten exercise politically poisonous for Republicans in 2018.

Correct. McConnell doesn’t have 51, or even 50 + VP Pence in his pocket right now. He is about 3 short of that, depending on which head count we are using, and that number is probably growing, not shrinking.

Brat’s babbling isn’t helping either.

That needs to happen to all republicans and bulk of the nation.

Precisely. If TrumpCare is so good, let us all enjoy it now. Hopefully some of his supporters might realize the problem before they die (unlikely).

Any attempt (heh) to jam up the Senate parliamentarian like that means that the GOP thinks that they can survive the upcoming midterms,

Either there is a pissed off blue electorate or everyone is cool with what’s coming

What kind of district decides Eric Cantor isn’t a sufficiently ragingly inflamed right wing asshole? Oh yeah, this guy’s.

Brat is about to learn that, institutionally, the Senate despises one part of Government more that they despise the Executive. The Senate despises the House, thinking them a bunch of hot heads. Same no matter which Party controls either House. The Senate is proud of it’s role as moderators. Remember that the Republican Senate even disposed of two of the four Articles of Impeachment the Republican House had passed against Clinton.

Loudmouth in a “safe” district.

Why would anyone care about Senate Parliamentarian? It will be a positive for GOP supporters. I thought there would be some law which prohibits it, but I have no idea.

They probably can survive the mid terms in the Senate…in a “normal” midterm, they should be even picking up seats, given the seats we have to protect vs. the ones they have to protect.

The House however, is at much more risk. And the GOP doesn’t just have to worry about losing seats to Democrats…they have an equally bad problem with losing seats to the Tea Party.

Exactly. My impression is the bulk of them have never suffered the consequences of their actions. And nothing teaches you like getting your ass kicked for doing something stupid.

Please stop. This clown deserves no headline. He will never get to the Senate on his own so I don’t think they give a “blank” what he says.
