Discussion for article #236984
Hhe just happened to have a gun in a handbag, backpack, or purse? Because a gun is so light weight one wouldn’t notice the extra weight in a handbag? Obviously not possible to carry a gun without knowing a gun is being carried. What was his intention? Why would one need a gun in one of the most protected and secure buildings in DC, and many buildings in DC have a secure system of entry.
What was he “thinking”? Oh, he’s a Republican Congressperson’s staffer! That question does not apply there.
(EDIT: to correct the gender of the alleged offender)
The weapon Reps. Ken Buck (R-CO) and Trey Gowdy (R-SC) displayed in their photo didn’t appear “securely wrapped”.
“poor judgment,” ?
NO - poor judgment is when you don’t put enough money in the parking meter … this is STUPIDITY!
When it comes to Republican Congresspersons, there is only dumb and dumber.
Another “responsible” gun owner.
The staffer’s name is Joshua, not he’s a “she”.
With GOPers you can never be sure.
Oops, sorry I read that wrong. And being a Republican Congressperson’s staff person, I doubt he was carrying a purse.
¨Jenkin’s office called Wheeler’s behavior “poor judgment,” according to NBC News’ Kelly O’Donnell.¨
If someone interns for a Kansas Republican, and it doesn’t take a gun to find out he or she has poor judgement.
Well, the intern is a Republican, so the “poor judgment” was not having the gun loaded.
Jenkin’s office called Wheeler’s behavior “poor judgment,”
But Lynn, why are you taking the side of those taking guns away? Haven’t you read your own campaign website?
Second Amendment
Growing up in rural Kansas, I have cherished our right to keep and bear arms from a young age. I wholeheartedly support the Second Amendment and applaud the fact that the Supreme Court has time after time reaffirmed every individual American’s right to bear arms. I will continue to oppose laws and regulation that infringe on our Second Amendment rights.
Apparently this chucklehead intern believes that since the great state of Kansas is brain free as far as guns are concerned, the Congress of the United States must be the same way.
Arrested for an “unloaded” gun. I had no idea they had to be loaded.
Isnt it amazing and so telling, how all the Republicans want there to be guns EVERYWHERE in America, even supporting Open Carry, yet the ONLY place they dont want to allow guns, is where THEY work!!! Elementary schools, churches, heck…even BARS, are just nifty places they want to allow guns…but not where THEY work! Insane hypocrites, the lot of them.
…There they go
Blaming it on the poor…/S
Well, as a republican he won’t carry that purse in public up until he outs himself.
NRA:
“But is the gun OK?”
Yep, and Tex-ass just approved carrying weapons on campuses too. If I were living in Texas, my next concern is how fast I can leave. This country has gone nuts. I’m avoiding most of it anymore. The place is one big threat to life, unless of course you happen to work in Congress or the Adminstration. I can’t figure out why everyone can’t carry a loaded weapon everywhere by now. I mean, after all, why “discriminate”? In fact, the first and most important place to carry locked and loaded weapons of mass destruction should be Congress, where they’ll do the most good for society, possibly. Nothing wrong with wishing and hoping (a la Obama, or did he say “hyping”, I think? I must have misunderstood the lying coward).
But, but, but…freedom!!
