Discussion for article #225995
These morons think that if they don’t like the president’s policies, the answer is to impeach…
Pandering asshats or total ignoramuses? You decide.
“I would be open to impeachment as an option to put a stop to the out-of-control executive orders and overreach this president has shown.”
This is a cut-and-paste from the mothership.
I thought impeachment talk was a Democratic plot to raise money and turn out the base?
It would be fun to ask them what impeachment means, as defined in the constitution.
DesJarlais is a crackpot deluxe—and a typical GOP hypocrite, too.
But this maroon makes him look like a Rhodes Scholar by comparison.
That’s a mighty big bark for a little dog.
So when will a member of the media finally confront these wackos with the fact that Reagan and Bush had far more executive orders than President Obama? And not a peep was heard from the GOPers then.
It is a complicated issue for Republicans because 57 percent of the GOP base supports impeaching the president, according to a recent CNN poll.
How old are these people?
Has Boehner denounced this guy as an Obama operative?
I choose “all of the above.”
Wow, the White House is really going all-out on their Impeachment scam today.
What? That’s another Republican? Weird. I thought only Dems were talking Impeachment.
Why is TPM furthering the lie that it’s Dems talking up impeachment? There are TWO articles next to each other right now where it is GOPrs who are advocating for impeachment (in the other article, the Rep says to forget the lawsuit and move directly to impeachment).
No, TPM, this is not the Dems pushing this idea. It’s the GOP. TPM seems to have swallowed the inside-the-beltway Kool-aid on this one. It’s too bad that, when Dem points out things the GOP has said, the Beltway media pounces on this as the DEMS pushing for it to happen.
You’re going to try to impeach the first Black president and the president with the fewest executive orders in over a century, and you think that’s a good idea?
I was 21 or 22 when the House voted to impeach Clinton. To this day, I have never and will never forgive Anne Northop for that vote. I haven’t voted for a single Republican since then and probably never will. If that’s how I feel about Bill Clinton’s impeachment, can you imagine how minorities and progressives, particularly young people, across this country will feel about Obama’s? I have no doubt it would result in a wave election this year and a wave election in 2016.
So when will a member of the media finally confront these wackos with the fact that Reagan and Bush had far more executive orders than President Obama?
They have to a certain extent, and the GOP response is that it isn’t the number of them, but rather the scope.
In other words, they are grasping at straws trying to justify their unhinged rhetoric.
But dude, there is this compelling need for a strong case for high crimes and misdemeanors. Otherwise it is just blather. Oh, silly me, their goal is REALLY just deceptive blather.
This is also a form of “Candidate Suppression.” That is, they want to make sure that Dems know they will make your life miserable if you run for office or attain office.
They are basically saying: Our goal is to make you supremely miserable with shameless tactics that have no bearing on facts, but are based only on taking up all your time and energy making a big mess of you and the country you love.
White. Extremely white.
And I say that as someone who is practically see-through.
It is a complicated issue for Republicans because 57 percent of the GOP base supports impeaching the president
This is bullshit. The reason 57% support impeaching the President is because wackos like this have been saying he is a lawless tyrant trying to destroy America. If the GOP were a sane opposition party, virtually no one would support impeaching him.
Funny, I’m open to YOUR LOSING!
