Discussion for article #222854
Typical for baggers. Turn over a rock and see what slithers out.
Damage control at its most fearful.
Rove, the Kochs, and other corporate royalists stampeded the cattle. Now they have to get them back in the corral.
More like they stampeded cats and now they’re trying to herd them. While this behavior id disgusting it’s between republicans and demomcrats would do well to stay on the sidelines and let the republicans savage each other. This shows the depths to which some will go in politics. Many times I’ve said politics is a blood sport and it’s true.
Huff-Watch Mississippi
In the past, the Republicans have always been able to control the nutjobs they invite into the party (Birchers, Anti-Choice, “Moral Majority”, etc). For the first time, the Pubs have invited a group that can’t be shunted off to the side. History will not be kind to McCain for choosing Wasilla Kardashian and allowing her merry band of baggers entry into the party and onto the scene.
I have to admit it’s fun watching them use their typical tactics on each other. Clearly Kelly went over the line, but both the establishment GOP and the Tea Party are totally lacking in integrity. I don’t expect them to change, but it feels good to know they’re on the receiving end of their own medicine.
Princess Moose Muffin’s legacy will linger on, long after she herself is forgotten by all excepting the small, incestuous group who pay for seminar after seminar at their local megachurches.
Check out this guy’s blog if you haven’t yet. He’s not a well man—talks about Agenda 21 and “imminent domain” and how Glenn Beck works for the CIA or something. If McDaniels has been playing footsie with this guy in any way it’s all over, or at least I’d like to imagine that it would be.
Oh the humanity! Didn’t the guy know that this type of dirty trick is only okay if directed at Democrats? God forbid that a Republican shall be the victim!
To be sure, that behavior is abhorrent. I’m just not too certain that any Republican has a right to complain loudly about it.
TPM:
“My only response would be that it’s disgusting and inhuman,” Brad Dayspring, spokesman for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, told TPM in …
… a tone of pride like that of a Republican father bragging about his three year old son growing strong enough to lift his first Ayn Rand novel.
Only six different stories on this world shattering news at TPM.
Can we just do the whole front page?
Trivial Pablum Memo
That blog is truly nutz.
This is really reprehensible! only a low down snake in the grass wo j would think it alright to enter a nursing home and violate the rights of a opponents spouse.
what purpose does it do? now cochran will win the symathy vote because even mississipi residents know this is going to far.
its also reprehensible that the blogger thinks mcdaniels could be another rand paul, but that’s another story. this stunt has caused McDaniel’s the race
Wow. Dayspring attacks McDaniel!
I thought you had to HAVE a sense of shame before you critcized somebody else on their reprehensible behavior.
I don’t see what the problem is here. The public has a right to know Mrs. Cochran’s condition. It has bearing on Thad’s ability to represent his constituents. Besides Chris McDaniels cannot be responsible for the actions of his supporters. This is free speech.
Finally, I don’t understand how this is different from Karl Rove claiming that former First Lady Hillary Clinton has brain damage, or many who believe Speaker Boehner has an affective disorder, former President Bush has a cognitive disability or that Ronald Reagan had dementia while in office.
Well, that Reagan had Alzheimer’s is established fact.
But other than that, I just see this as being a convenient way for the Repugnicant establish to rid themselves of a troublesome TeaBagger primary opponent.
Almost too convenient, except that I expect Cochran is too smart to have anything at all to do with a loose cannon like this guy.
They’re just extremely grateful the McDaniel campaign stepped into something nasty with Kelly.
