If the Tea Party types win, then we will surely have an authoritarian
government. After all, their authoritarian righteousness is inimical to democracy and translates well into the German of Hitler and the Russian of Stalin. Only someone utterly ignorant of history or a reader of Jonah Goldberg’s twisted history that denies right-wing Republican affinities with authoritarianism could think differently.
