Discussion for article #232996
Nothing looney about this. The huckster of hoaxes strikes again.
The sad thing about the 1st and 2nd Amendments is that they are not protecting the rights that the framers intended them to protect. Instead they are only furthering the life, liberty and pursuit of stupidity exhibited by Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Alex Jones and Rush Limbaugh. And the list goes on and on and on…
Simply not enough tin foil in the world to meet the needs of Glenn Beck and his mindless minions.
I think this is fear mongering. Just the same as yelling “FIRE!!” in a crowded theater.
Beck should be subjected to public ridicule for this.
If he believes the government wants us to be hurt by getting vaccinated then he should present some shred of evidence. But he has none.
If Beck had his way polio, measles, mumps whooping cough, rubella and others would be endemic in America and we’d be living in the equivalent of the 15th century in filth and squalor.
What he spews is not entertainment…it is hate…hate of the worst kind.
It’s not the government that is telling you to get vaccinated. It’s the doctors.
I am willing to bet my farm that Glenn Beck was vaccinated as a kid against all sorts of illnesses. Measles being one. Therefore what should we call him?
If everyone was vaccinated against measles, it wouldn’t matter if immigrants came in with the disease. It wouldn’t spread to the people who have the vaccine.
It’s idiotic (and scary) that people like Beck are trying to turn vaccinations as a government plot (and therefore something only the liberals support according to Beck).
A complete fucking idiot. I wonder, is there a vaccine for whatever it is that ails Beck, because I want a double-dose, pronto!
There are no vaccines yet that would protect against his sort of unreasoning mental instability.
And it is exactly the kind of hate his viewers crave.
But Beck and his co-host were satisfied with blaming the current outbreak on “immigrants.”
“You don’t wanna blame it on immigrants,” Beck’s co-host said sarcastically, “because we want them to flow into America freely.”
“So it’s gotta be about vaccinations,” he continued. “That’s what
they had to make it about and they have. They’ve done that pretty
effectively.”
Once again, the ineluctable logic of Glenn Beck and his guests has left me agog in a kind of state, which can only be described as “ineffable bafflement.” And I was thinking, It is surely unfair to the rest of the Anglophone world that this “Man of Ideas” should be restricted to these shores.
Perhaps we can convince BBC Radio 4 to squeeze him in between “History of Ideas” and “Afternoon Drama: Men Who Sleep in Cars”
Glenn, the world needs to appreciate the unique nature of your intellect.
The seeds of ISIS are among us and threatening to sprout.
I would trust a lab (or my Red Tick Coonhound) long before I would trust Glenn Beck as a source of anything truthful.
This is the man who predicted 18,000 Americans would die from Ebola by January 2015.
I’ll have a go! Lessee, how about “babbling paranoid loon”?
How about: “an odious buffoon and wanker IMMUNE to reason.”
How about “Oracle of the Unreasoning”
Looks like Beck ought to lay off the carbs.
Methinks the Beckster’s been feeling a bit left out lately, what with elected officials as loony, or loonier, than he soaking up all the media time, so he felt the need to up the ante.
