Silly Becky.
8-member SCOTUS is the new normal.
Permanently.
Correct, Glenn. But Mitch McConnell’s racism runs deep and there is no way he is going to let Obama seat a 3rd Justice.
Eight justices will be absolutely perfect right up until the very moment when a Republican president takes office. Then their hair will be on fire over how incredibly overworked the supremes are and they desperately need a ninth.
It is a mistake. Not because failing to act is wrong for the country, or against the Constitution. But because it might lead to less political power for the right-wing.
Got it.
Wow. Beck has now conceded the 2016 election.
Wah-wah.
Glenn who?
Who would Cheeto Jesus appoint?
“I personally think that it is a mistake for them not to give him an up or down vote,” Beck said. “I think it’s a mistake. And I also think that they did this for a reason, that they put somebody in who is somewhat acceptable and they did it because they could say, ‘See, they’re absolutely unreasonable.’ And if Hillary gets in and there’s a Democratic Congress or Senate? Done! You think that they’re going to get more reasonable than this guy?”
Hey, look at the big brain on Glenn! If Clinton get elected with a Democratic Senate (and I believe she absolutely will), she’s going to need to plant a sloppy wet kiss on the left. The quickest, easiest way to do it is to appoint a pretty left wing SCOTUS judge and the the Democratic Senate will quickly move them through the nominating process. Any attempts by Republicans to complain about the pace of the process will be met with jeers and laughter. On this issue, they’ve fucked themselves well and good.
You know you’re in Bizarro World when Glenn Beck starts making sense.
Talk like this is so April.
When Glenn Fucking Beck makes more sense than Senate Republicans, you know all sense of responsibility for the job or your oath of service is lost.
Which appears is going to be a very very long time …

No reasonable fair minded, objective person would vote against Merrick Garland,
… but then again there are votes that would be cast by Republicans so the outcome would be arguable.
It still takes 60 Senate votes to stave off the filibuster of a SCOTUS nominee. I don’t think Democrats will win that many Senate seats this year.
Maybe a majority leader with balls will actually force them to do a real fillibuster?
TPM:
Conservative radio host Glenn Beck said Monday that Republicans were making a “mistake” by not giving Merrick Garland, President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee, an up-or-down vote …
Of course it’s a mistake. I suspect it’s a moot point though, since the number of people not voting Republican because of Trump is likely to swamp the number of people not voting Republican because their Senator is an obstructionist right-wing asshole.
How many SenateSonsOfMitches have Beck on phone-contacts Favorites?
I take comfort in this. Even with a right wing obstructionism such as Dead Nino-type on SCOTUS, the vote on the Texas abortion clinics would still have been five for the majority opinion, the three ladies plus two fabulous gents…
