He won’t appear on the show because he knows Maher would rip him to shreds and expose him for the fraud that he is.

Guys like Beck are just snake oil salesman. Gold is their snake oil, and their technique is whipping people into a paranoid frenzy that their money is not safe.

Beck must live in constant fear of stumbling into a conversation with an intelligent person who actually knows what he is talking about and has actual facts to back that up. Beck obviously doesn’t fear Maher’s ability to hold “an actual discussion.” What Beck fears is that in a ordinary conversation, Maher will easily reveal what a vacuous fraud Beck is and has always been.

Of course he wouldn’t. There is zero upside for him to go on there and be confronted by anything resembling even a modicum of debate or have his brand of Crazy™ be challenged.
