questioned whether Mueller has the right to ask him about actions that he is authorized, under the Constitution, to take as president.

The reddest red herring in an entire school of red herrings.

For example, of course it’s true that a President is allowed to fire someone he hired.

But can he fire him for being, say, a her? Or for being an African-American? Or for doing the job? Where does the Constitution authorize any of this?

Trump never was going to voluntarily testify. Never. Guilty people rarely do. Besides, Mueller doesn’t need Trump’s testimony on obstruction of justice. It’s as clear as day Trump obstructed justice.

Well, you have to admit that our side was pretty goddamned INCOMPETENT to allow this stinking piece of filth to win a presidential election.

Except Trump’s so vain/stupid he really believes that he couldn’t have done anything wrong. It’s his lawyers who are killing themselves trying to convince him that he should never say anything under oath about anything, ever. He’d perjure himself before he got done stating his name for the record.

Good thing there’s plenty of video of him actually doing it.

It sure seems like the Dotard is expending a whole lot of energy to avoid telling the truth.

He must be very afraid that the truth will get him.

And the moving of the goal post continues. First it was we might testify if you limit the topics then how about a written response now written but we won’t answer questions about obstruction. At some point it will be just yes or no responses to 10 questions we choose.

The precedents have been set. Clinton wouldn’t voluntarily testify, so he was subpoenaed.

I think it’s bout time to do the same to Trump. If they want to contest it, let it go to the SCOTUS. Why would this president get a pass, when Clinton didn’t? It was about lying. This is about lying. Let’s get to the truth, and stop mucking about.

Ghouliani isn’t doing his client any favors by first accepting the written answer terms, and then saying no to specifics. You can only game a special council for so long before the fan has to brace itself for a large, nasty hit…
