Discussion: Giuliani Strikes Out On 74th Birthday By Being Booed At Yankees Game

I can’t decide whether to cheer or to boo.

Good thing the score wasn’t 11-9. The boos would have been muted when he was mayor or after 9/11. When he hitched with Trump he lost a lot of credibility with many New Yorkers since Trump his business ties and his crime family would have been prosecuted by the SDNY in the 1980’s. Or as mayor he would have been critical of them.
When he was a kid in Brooklyn he wore a Yankees uniform in Dodger country and took some heat for it. I’m sure he can deal with these fans.

Watched the video, was expecting a smattering of boos. Thew roar was impressive actually. Not sure if anyone was not booing. Good job Rudy!

That’s okay. Giuliani is used to New Yorkers hating him (and for good reason).

Giuliani predicted once he got up to speed the Mueller probe would be “over in two weeks”.

Yankee brass decided the birthday announcement should be made. It would have been just as simple to avoid making note of it.

Rudy gets booed, and then the Yankees lose. All is well.

Once a bunch of kiss-asses dependent on government largess to build their stadium, always a bunch of kiss asses.

I’m just shocked Count Dracula came out for a day game.

It’s unfortunate the clip ended too soon as well as it never showing Ghouliani’s frozen-smile reaction; you can see a camera man filming him at the beginning of the clip.

Following Rudy’s rousing “show of appreciation” at Yankee Stadium the new New York Times’ newly minted Judith Miller, Maggie Haberman, raised an interesting question: “Where is Cadet Bone Spurs going to live after he leaves the White(s Only) House?” (She failed to note the distinct and preferred possibility of ADX Florence.) He’s truly hated in New York, has been for 50 years.

ICYMI If this tweet is to be believed, Melanoma has escaped Washington and moved back to NYC.

If this is true, kudos to the hostage negotiators who pulled this off. Correction: It’s a fake account.

Now on to the next mystery: Where’s Barron?

Serious question for Americans - is ‘Mayor’ really an honorific-for-life? I know you call ex-Presidents ‘President’ until death… but can I still call myself ‘City Dogcatcher Bashful’ if I served a term back in the eighties?

Can we call him Booliani now?

That’s kind of cool, i remember back in the 90s/2000s Giulani was a Yankee staple and whenever he was in attendance he’d get a ton of cheers from the NY crowed.

Guess he squandered all those good Post 9-11 vibes

I was saying Booliani…

I can only hope Haberman’s question isn’t rhetorical, but actually implying something’s afoot in the here and now.

Typical TPM bias.

No mention of Sunday’s standing ovation for Giuliani at the Russian Trolls double header.

Way to bury the real lede, liberal media.

(BTW, Russia beat Uzbekistan in both games. Go Trolls!)
