Rudy Giuliani told The Associated Press on Friday that the payment was never made. Giuliani says what’s important is that Trump said that if it were made, it should be by check and properly documented.
How does Rudy know this? Did he listen to and make notes about the tape? Did Trump tell him? And were they talking about making a direct payment to McDougal or repayment to the Enquirer? Is Rudy admitting to campaign contribution violations and failure to report?
Or, is he just bullshitting?
Worst lawyer ever. There’s no way Trump is going to pay Giuliani’s bill.
So Ghouliani is saying they only intended to break the law but got the National Enquirer to do it for them instead?
Rudy: They’ve got your bed ready at the home. Pack your toothbrush and Depends.
I pick babbling for 200.
Payment never made. OK. So?
Can’t wait for Rudy to go on the Sunday TeeVee shows (actually I can) and start babbling about, “I used to tape record my conversations with clients all the time, talking about breaking all kinds of laws and then throwing in a couple of exculpatory comments and pretending like we didn’t go through with the scheme.”
Maddow pointed out last night that this recording is privileged. So, who had access to it? Prosecutors? No, they don’t get to see privileged stuff. Cohen’s lawyers? Sure. Trump’s lawyers? Yep. They reviewed all the Cohen seizures. So, who leaked it? And why? And was President Dipshit really surprised?
The current Trump attorney, Rudy Giuliani, told The Associated Press on Friday that the payment was never made. Giuliani says what’s important is that Trump said that if it were made, it should be by check and properly documented.
Yes. Because the man who won’t even wear a condom with multiple porn stars and playmates is a legendary “dot the i’s and cross the t’s” kind of guy.
Completely OT, but nice

So, of no payment was made, is the “hush” agreement invalid? Oh, there are so many, so very, very many bigly scandals, I’m getting confused.
What’s the surprise? Donnie always stiffs his contractors…
I want to be there, wearing a suit of Milk Bones…
So did Rudy leak this whole thing? He’s really crazy enough to think this is going to help, because he possibly didn’t pay. Or something. I really hope His Orangeness retains Rudy for the long haul. Though the hospital bills for removing bullets from his feet could get pretty high.
Paying hush money seems to have taken the traitors Helsinki shit off the front pages.
Why be so nice. Put a name tag on him and drop blabbering Rudy off at the racetrack. Done.
If the tape was privileged, I would think Giuliani’s burbling about it waives privilege.
I read somewhere that Cohen’s camp claims that the tape has Cohen - not Two Scoops - saying that the payment should be made by check.
Last, as to “Giuliani Says Payment To Ex-Playboy Model Was Never Made” - I had understood that the discussion on the tape concerned paying AMI for rights to McDougal’s story to keep it under wraps before the election, not a payment to McDougal. The implication of the payment’s never being made is that “something was worked out” with AMI.
Didn’t go through with it. Sure.
By week’s end, it will have changed to Cohen paid from his personal account, which Cohen will immediately flip to tRump gave him the money and he paid National Enquirer.
I’m betting it’ll be 10 days, at the outside, before we learn tRump covered it. Of course given that he shafts everyone he deals with, that’s only an even money bet.
Shit. SEX, porn stars, Playboy bunny, cheap delusional NYC billionaire president, lies, payoffs, more lies, tapes, crazy lawyers, politicians, pedophilia, etc, pushes everything off the front page.
But nothing’s changed. George Orwell:
“The unbearable silliness of English newspapers from about 1900 onward has had two main causes. One is that nearly the whole of the Press is in the hands of a few very big capitalists who are interested in the continuance of capitalism and therefore in preventing the public from learning to think; the other is that peacetime newspapers live off advertisements for consumption goods, building societies, cosmetics and the like, and are therfore interested in maintaining a “sunshine mentality” which will induce people to spend money. Optimism is good for trade, and more trade means more advertisements. Therefore, don’t let people know the facts about the political and economic situation; divert their attention to giant pandas, channel swimmers, royal weddings and other soothing topics.”
