Discussion: Giuliani: Manafort Has Shared Nothing Damaging About Trump With Mueller

And you know this how, Rudy?

Manafort and his lawyers aren’t talking to Rudy or anyone from the Trump camp; doing so would put the plea deal at risk. Mueller’s team certainly isn’t talking. Rudy’s pulling crap out of his ass again, as usual.

There’s like ten reasons not to believe this. Maybe include a couple in the blurb? Because otherwise this is stenography.

Which is dumber, Rudy or Rudy’s mental image of the American public?

Goodness gracious.

Best part of the Reuters article:

Giuliani said he did not know why Manafort’s lawyer is sharing information with him.

Yeah, right. Like you’re in the know.

I’m not a libel lawyer but I think you could say Rudy has made numerous remarkable, often contradictory, and quickly retracted claims about Trump’s legal situation and be on pretty safe factual ground.

Under a special agreement, Manafort’s lawyers have kept Trump’s legal team apprised of what Manafort shares with federal prosecutors.

Manafort's lawyers let Trump's lawyers know what Manafort tells them to divulge. Rudy has no damned idea whether Trump's lawyers are being fully apprised of what Manafort is telling Mueller.

Yep. That “special agreement” disappeared the instant Manafort agreed to cooperate. Rudy knows nothing.

Attorney-client privilege in the context of a joint defense exists only if and to the extent that the interests of the parties are truly aligned. A joint defense agreement can’t create a privilege where none exists. So, if Mueller wanted to put the entire Trump defense team and the entire Manafort defense team before a grand jury and ask what exactly they were saying to one another, seize their emails to one another, tap their phone calls to one another, cut deals in exchange for testimony, whatever - he could do that, because their communications with each other are not privileged, JDA notwithstanding. And if Manafort’s lawyers are jeopardizing their client’s plea deal by feeding info to Rudy, they are committing malpractice, which is unlikely.

Rudy, as usual, is blowing smoke.

Both. Remember those folks with the MAGA hats.

I have the feeling that Rudy is correct about the dumbness of certain sectors of the American public.

How does THAT make any sense?

Most likely the orange shitgibbon was making noises again about firing rosenstein, so baghdad rudy was detailed to make a soothing statement for an audience of one. They need the shitgibbon to do nothing for 2 more weeks.

I doubt that Manfort’s lawyers are sharing everything (if anything) with Rudy.

And based on many of Rudy’s statements and, especially, TV appearances I doubt that he’d really know what is or isn’t “damaging.”

Does he have to clear it with Daddy Donnie BEFORE he shares or after???

Of course Manafort is not “offering” any info … Mueller has him by the balls and is “squeezing” everything out behind his investigative curtain.

You do not know that or anything else about what Mueller knows. What the fuck are you talking about?
