This is wishful thinking (a.k.a., “whistling in the wind”) on the part of Ghouliani and everyone else singing that tune right now. The only reason Spankee really wants Sessions gone is because of the Mueller investigation, which he believes Sessions should be actively and corruptly shielding him from. Once the investigation is over (assuming Spankee is still stinking up the Oval Office), it would only be for revenge.

On the other hand, Spankee lives for revenge, so, well…yeah.

Of course, we believe everything Rudy says because he is such a stable, truthful, and consistent source of inside information.

Can’t speak for anyone else, but it’s fine by me if he waits until after the investigation to shitcan Sessions. If Democrats don’t pick up at least one chamber of Congress firing Sessions won’t matter anyway because the Mueller investigation will be all for nothing anyway. If Democrats pick up the Senate then they block any replacement PP puts forward that has ever expressed any misgivings about the Russia investigation. Basically, this is all on voters.

I don’t think they’ll get the chance even if they win. I think if they somehow manage to win the Senate, Sessions is fired the next day and the lame duck republicans rubber stamp any replacement the day after that.

Pressed for comment after Sessions’ departure, Giuliani argued that he did not specify which investigation would be concluded before the firing. “I didn’t say Mueller’s investigation. You said that. Obviously, I meant the investigation about when to fire Jeff Sessions. Trump would never fire someone without first investigating the best time to do it.”

“Investigation” is easily the weirdest, most oblique euphemism for “mid-term election” I’ve ever heard. Ever.

Uh huh…and the NEXT thing you’ll be telegraphing is that the investigation MUST come to a close, right Rudy? You are such a scum sucking toady…

Jeebus, that’s a revolting development. There’s a serious lack of feck there.

Pig latin…how appropriate for these barnyard denizens.

And he’s talking in code, he thinks, except like pig latin, which most people learn by about age 9 or so, it doesn’t fool anyone. There’s a French expression, “I see you coming with your big wooden shoes,” that means the same thing—you’re not fooling anyone, buster.

Trump: If Mueller proves that I am a traitor, it will be session’s fault. He shouldnt have allowed Mueller to prove it.

Ahhh! Didn’t even think of that, but you’re probably right. The only thing I could see stopping that from coming to fruition is if a couple of Republican senators are genuinely spooked and shook enough by the midterm losses that they decide it’s better for their future election prospects to block any PP appointee who isn’t going to be a staunch defender of Mueller. Also, it’s quite possible a couple of them that lose or are retiring decide they’d rather go out in a blaze of glory than to go down in the history books as complicit.

Conversely, it’s fine by me if Sessions is shitcanned the day the investigation is concluded.

Given the general relationship between Giuliani’s pronouncements and actual fact, Sessions is toast.
