Discussion: Giuliani Defends Trump: His Remarks Don't 'Reflect' On Trump 'As A Man'

Discussion for article #238187

One bigot defending another bigot. Gee, what a surprise. And here is a clue, Rudy: Trump had a chance to say it differently and he double-downed on his hate.

Yeah, because natural born US citizens don’t murder, rape, deal drugs or set off bombs. Those acts are only perpetrated by illegal (mostly brown) aliens.

And that, Rudy, is why you’ve never been a serious candidate for president…and never will be.

Well, Rudy, your thoughts on the completely reasonable point that Trump meant to make would be even more believable if Trump hadn’t doubled down vociferously—“Somebody’s doing the raping!”—in the days and days since the uproar first erupted over what he actually said in loud and public mouth words.

“And I certainly think that it doesn’t reflect on Donald Trump as a man”

As opposed, for example, to your defense of Trump as reflecting on your manhood, eh Rudy?

That was not Rudy, cause I do not see “9-11” anywhere in this article. The reporter clearly just talked to a Rudy lookalike.

Think how low you have sunk when Rudy is your defender.

People care what he has to say? Some illegal immigrants do bad things and break laws. Many citizens do the same thing or at least some of them do.

During an interview with MSNBC at the Hank’s Yanks Golf Classic at Trump Golf Links, Giuliani called Trump “a very good man” and “an unbiased, unprejudiced man.”

How many “illegals” does Mayor Giuliani thinks work at Trump Golf Links? What does that say about Trump’s principles?

The Republican Party has sunk to such depths as these. Even in the 1950s, outside of the Deep South, nationally recognized figures simply did not do this.

But that is the curse of the electoral process…

When your Base consists of extremely hateful, bigoted, insular and racist individuals, you “gotta dance with what brung ya”.

The good thing going for the Repubicans is that, outside of being slightly outnumbered (slightly more people side with the Democrats), the Republicans are strongly allied with some powerful interests (prominently among these being the fossil-fuel controlled MSM), can regularly depend on age-related disinterest in politics and, by virtue of their hold on local governments, can gum up a lot more of the electoral machinery.

Last night, Lawrence O’Donnell triumphantly announced to the viewing public that “more people identified with Democrats”. While this was certainly good news, the margins were very narrow.

Much more narrow than would seem to make sense, given the fact that the Republican Party is espousing doctrines, positions and ideology more in line with the United States of 1915, as opposed to 2015.

His Remarks Don’t ‘Reflect’ On Trump ‘As A Man’

And his remarks don’t reflect on Mexico as a country, right ?

Trump has complained that his remarks have been mis-interpreted: WAS HE WAITING TO HEAR WHAT RUDY SAID? Sounds like it to me. IF his remarks weren’t racist, pray tell, Rudy, what were they? AND, by endorsing them, doesn’t that confirm your own racism?
