It just isn’t so lying Giuliani!

You team is only victorious for A COVERUP!

It’s not the Russian political fuckery -which Trump and Co obviously welcomed and built upon- which will take Trump to the cleaners.
It’s the Russian money cleaning that will do so.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

“Investigate the investigators” is just more projection. The “guards” or “watchmen” in this instance are Sessions, Barr, Rosenstein and Trump himself.

The report is res ipsa loquitur on whether Trump is compromised: the activities and mental states described in the collusion section are what led to the activities and mental states described in the obstruction sections, which in and of itself shows that Russia was able to compromise the POTUS.

The report proves beyond any reasonable doubt that Trump is and was compromised by Russia’s active interference, that his personal interests were forced to align with Russia’s interests above the United States’ interests and this to led to criminal or quasi-criminal actions that actively placed Russia’s and his personal interests above those of the United States’. This is the very heart and definition of an impeachable offense.

Damn Rudy, if you spin any harder you’re gonna fly off the planet.

That’s the way most of our mind works, … Giuliani said.

Who is this “our” you talking about, Rudy? I don’t think I wanna be lumped into any “us” with you when it comes to how minds happen to work.

Nothing in any of that blathering suggests Rudy is responding in any way to the actual material in the report. There’s really no reaction to any particular bit of it. So for the eleventy-kajillionth time the judgment would be that he’s not good with information and can’t make even bad rational arguments. He just fucking babbles a bunch of nonsense and hopes some of it sticks to the wall. The one insight these people have is that for the broad mass of people this is enough. Our political discourse has been reduced, from what height it ever once had I can’t say, to “Oh yeah? Yeah! Oh yeah? Yeah!” in an endless loop of schoolyard taunting.

The first was that they felt they did not have enough evidence to prove that the Trump campaign officials involved in planning and attending the meeting were acting “willfully,” which the report defines as having “general knowledge of the illegality of their conduct.” Mueller’s investigators were unable to find “evidence that the participants in the meeting were familiar with the foreign-contribution ban,” according to the redacted report.

Oh, it was totally collusion, and a crime, but it would be too hard to prove that they were smart enough to know it was a crime. Except for maybe IDK the cognizance of guilt associated with lying about it after the fact? Jesus fucking Christ what an incompetent prosecutor.

“He has no recollection of it. That’s the way most of our mind works, every once in a while we have something we clearly know and remember,” Giuliani said.

Ah, I see. So being a very stable genius with the best memory of anyone ever means you just can’t recall anything.

When was knowledge of the law required to prove guilt?

Reminds me of the old Steve Martin defense: “I forgot”. Two simple words that let you get away with everything.

“Sorry, your Honor, I forgot armed robbery was illegal.”

Funny, my first reaction to the headline was, “Who cares?”

Guess I’ll leave it at that.

Hell Freezes Over
A Republican group, Republicans for the Rule of Law, is running this ad on FOX NEWS:
Juanita Jean's | Hell Freezes Over
In a statement to Newsweek, the group’s executive director, Sarah Longwell, said “It’s clear from the report today that there’s a lot of political interference that was attempted [by Trump]. This is not the end of the Mueller investigation, this is just the beginning. It looks like the Mueller report really is a road map for Congress. And that there was no exoneration, definitely obstruction.”
The group was started in 2017 when Trump threatened to fire Robert Mueller. It claims to be a group of life-long Republicans “dedicated to defending the institutions of our republic and upholding the rule of law.”
The ad, the group says, is intended to motivate Republican lawmakers to finally begin speaking out against Trump’s lawlessness. When Republicans begin calling for the rule of law against Trump’s assault on our republic, Hell has truly froze over.
