Discussion: Giuliani Confirms Trump Dictated Don Jr. Statement: 'It Was A Mistake, I Swear To God'

“It was a mistake, I swear to God.”

That’s a defense?

The cray is strong with this one.

Oh - and the mendacity. Perhaps his greatest super power.

In the vernacular, which I just made up unless I hit upon it accidentally, the pros call this “patching up the perjury.” For example – “Why of course my client, despite previously filed briefs, accepted the wired funds from St. Petersburg. But, you see, it was a bad connection and the transcriber misheard the tape. And, besides, he thought the funds were for the orphans. Think of the children!”

Demon Ghouliani is going to get lots of practice in the coming months, though I suspect he’ll remain a rank amateur on the execution. And speaking of executions, with any luck this traitorous fuck be fighting one by the time it all pans out.

“Why is it always– you think Jay Sekulow lied? … Maybe he just got it wrong…

A)-Sekulow issued his public statement without first consulting Trump, and presumed and/or represented without verification Trump did not dictate the statement.

B)-He consulted Trump, Trump denied dictating the statement, and Sekulow relayed the denial.

C)-He consulted Trump, Trump fessed up, yet Sekulow lied when relaying the denial.

A)-Borders on malfeasance.
B)-Trump lied to Sekulow.
C)- Sekulow lied to the press.

How any of the above is an unintentional mistake is a puzzle.

“A mistake, almost as big as hiring me as his attorney”…

Of course this is ridiculous. But also, how would Giuliani know anything about this and why should anyone listen to him?

“Yes, my client killed Mrs. Peacock in the kitchen with a revolver. But it was all a huge mistake. He meant to kill Colonel Mustard in the conservatory with a dagger. Therefore, you must acquit.”

And yet even having to draw up the options, sadly, means the obfuscation is in full play. Pains me to say this, but I believe they may well be getting some intel from ploys like the highly irregular (a phrase we need to retire for this administration) meeting regarding the informant source within the campaign.

“And let me say this, Chris,” Mr. Giuliandrews continued. “As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!” (H/T: “WKRP IN Cincinnati”)

Hiring Giuliani was Donald’s boldest smartest move ever.
We just hope Rudy keeps talking

This is a technicality but the real mistake was committing a crime, lying about it to prosecutors and the public then trying to cover it up…does this help?

“I didn’t mean to shoot that 12-year-old girl 43 times in the head! It was a mistake! I was aiming for her little brother!!!”

“It was a mistake, I swear to God,” he continued. “It was a mistake, the guy made a mistake and then he corrected it lied and then changed his story of few times. You know how it is. Our recollection keeps changing."

Fixed.
