In the vernacular, which I just made up unless I hit upon it accidentally, the pros call this “patching up the perjury.” For example – “Why of course my client, despite previously filed briefs, accepted the wired funds from St. Petersburg. But, you see, it was a bad connection and the transcriber misheard the tape. And, besides, he thought the funds were for the orphans. Think of the children!”

B)-He consulted Trump, Trump denied dictating the statement, and Sekulow relayed the denial.
C)-He consulted Trump, Trump fessed up, yet Sekulow lied when relaying the denial.
A)-Borders on malfeasance.
B)-Trump lied to Sekulow.
C)- Sekulow lied to the press.
How any of the above is an unintentional mistake is a puzzle.Turd-polisher extraordinaire.

Of course this is ridiculous. But also, how would Giuliani know anything about this and why should anyone listen to him?

This is a technicality but the real mistake was committing a crime, lying about it to prosecutors and the public then trying to cover it up…does this help?
