Discussion: Giuliani Argues Trump Has Legal Right To Obstruct Russia Probe, Says He Hasn't

Worst. Attorney. Ever. He really should be disbarred or at least disciplined for malpractice. Where in the Constitution does it say that the President can shut down an investigation in which he is a potential target? I understand Mr. 9/11 is dancing around the edges, and he’s correct that Trump can fire anyone who works for him. The pertinent question is what should the response to that action be?

“President Trump is not a criminal. But even if he was a criminal, he wouldn’t be a criminal-criminal. Like a real criminal. He would be just be a fake criminal.”

I hate this “the President is King” theory of constitutional law. I bet the founding fathers are rolling in their graves. Of course, Giuliani is right as long as Mitch McConnell is running the Senate.

Of course, if the Koch brothers yank Mitch’s chain hard enough my previous assessment might change.

Giuliani is close to drooling uncontrollably in public.

Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday that he believed it would be legal for President Donald Trump to obstruct the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and related matters.

Ok…sigh…I’m no lawyer, and at this point, I’m not sure Rudy is…but Obstruction of Justice is a Federal crime. As such, it can’t be legal to engage in it. Not even if you’re President.

Married his cousin, then divorced her because she was his cousin.

I had some law professors like Giuliani in law school. They taught, spouting this kind of nonsense, because they couldn’t cut it in the real legal world, a place where you have to know what the hell you’re talking about.

Syphilis? I think yes.

You and me both. It is not at all what was intended. You can’t tell me they intended to give a president powers that the fucking King of England didn’t have and still doesn’t.

Rudy argues his rump has legal right to be obstructed by a rusty probe?

Did I hear this correctly?

Putting aside the fact that Giuliani is an hat-less ass-clown, and simply blurts out the opposite of what is going on/is true, this is very revealing.

ABC is out with a piece: https://abcnews.go.com/US/special-counsel-mueller-president-obstruction-justice-sources/story?id=56973384&cid=social_twitter_abcn

saying that Trump went off this am because Mueller is making clear he intends to interview Trump on “obstruction” And of course, Trump goes out and takes further obstructive acts “Its all Lit’l Jeff’s fault he did not fire Mueller, make him do it” and then right on cue Giuliani comes out and confirms what is going on: They are all petrified of obstruction of justice.

Giuliana is SO BAD that it almost is if he is intentionally trying to undermine Trump…

Fear of what may be coming out in the Manafort trial + Rudy’s irrationality = not a pretty picture.

I’m not a constitutional scholar and even I can tell the Constitution is clear about that.

Why don’t those idiots simply move to Russia if they so love Russia AND dictators?

I seriously don’t need those people in this country

Come on, Rudy. Obstruction was one of the articles they brought against Nixon.

The scary thing is that the vast majority of the voters on both sides are completely oblivious of the history of Watergate and lack any legal expertise to form a fact based opinion…

And this idiot is still practicing law??? After a comment like this, and some of the other opinions he has blathered, the New York State Bar Assn should seriously look at disbarring him.
