One burning mystery is the lack of drool.

I’m convinced Giuliani just goes out there and improvises. But this talk about a prep meeting two days before the Veselnitskaya one and other times Giuliani has crawfished makes me think that although he doesn’t really talk to anyone in the White House much he occasionally gets frantic messages from the real lawyers saying for Christ’s sake don’t talk about this or that.

Ha…except the kid made the save, so in the end, maybe not the best visual metaphor…

One of the most knowable things in the world is that his affection-starved son with extreme daddy issues told daddy he was reeling in a big fish that would help win him the election. The only question really is at which point he jumped up and down yelling, “Take that, Ivanka!”

It’s Infrastructure Week all the way down.

Trump knew about the meeting days before it happened and was likely patched-in via phone or was provided a summary immediately afterwards. Rudy-Trump’s lawyer- is now saying he does not know if Trump knew about or participated in the June 2016 meeting with Russians. This strategy is aimed at the base. The base does not watch CNN.

Giuliani definitely seems to get some sort of sanitized, filtered interpretation of the underlying facts. The intent seems to be to treat him as a tactically useful idiot who can go parrot the talking points everybody can predict he’ll fumble his way into, without ever letting him formulate far-reaching strategy or know enough that he loses a veneer of plausible deniability.

I have to say, this is a very stupid plan.

Next up from Crazy Rudy: “What I said about a June 7 prep meeting, and who was there … well, that was just bullshit I made up. Nobody told me about such a meeting - other than Lanny Davis, and he’s a liar and was the Clinton’s lawyer - and if Rick Gates, who I said was at the meeting, says there was a meeting, then he’s lying, too. You see, Cohen and Gates and Lanny Davis are lying about everything. I, on the other hand, am just making shit up.”

I agree that he’s definitely trying to sway the jury pool, but I don’t think he’s all that clever. I think events and new information keep popping up that force him to change his tune. I doubt this fool knows much more than we do, but like everyone else in PP Land, he’s just sort of reacting

So when does the real bombshell hit? Trump was at the head of the table running the meeting!

Holy SH*T!!

Well, of course Trump knew in advance, but this is ever more damning.

When will this madness end? When can we get this traitor out of office?

How craven will the complicit GOP continue to be?

And McConnell wants to ram through a “unitary executive” SCOTUS nominee in these circumstances? Seriously!?

How many more body blows can the body politic take?

Questions, questions. I want to weep for our country.

Ever since Cris Cuomo embarrassed him for flip flopping on the POTUS being subpoenaed, nobody has really stopped this guy from his lies & character assassinations. Even Cuomo, the other night, let him go on for over a half hour without much pushback. Then he had two people on to rebut Rudy, for about five minutes. More in tune observers know he’s making a jackass of himself, but to the not so attuned ?

I’m starting to get a “Trump’s Empty Podium” feeling about it.

I’m suggesting that we schedule a training session for all new attorneys using Giuliani’s appearances on television over the past few months. It would be entitled, “Avoiding malpractice: How not to practice criminal defense, with Rudy Giuliani.” We could then do a follow-up, “Avoiding malpractice: How not to approach appellate work, with Alan Dershowitz.”

At this point, Giuliani is a foolish distraction. Time to ignore him.
