I don’t normally admit who I prayed for, but I added Justice Ginsburg to the end of my son’s nightly dinner blessing. It’s OK that he doesn’t understand who or why right now.

Of course she is. Because it’s only three instances of one of the most gawdawfully painful injuries you can have.
I have a friend going through it right now, a well as my MiL was she was 92, and I have has just a cracked one myself. No joking matterbto be sure.
Me thinks she just didn’t want to go to the Kavanaugh ceremony.
Tape RBG up and send her back into the fray! Nothing else you can do for broken or separated ribs. This is a painful injury that takes a good while to heal, so everyone send her healing vibes, but no jokes, it hurts to laugh when you have damaged ribs. Get well soon ma’am.
I have a freakishly high pain threshold. Time and again, I’ve hurt myself and had health care professionals look at injuries or scans and express amazement that I am ambulatory because I should be incapacitated. Just a quirk of genetics like being double-jointed or having different colored eyes or something. Not bragging. I am an incredible simpering WATB about what pain I do feel.
But I’ve had cracked ribs and those high-intensity electric jolts of agony when you move or twist the wrong way damn near made me faint every time they happened. It is unbelievable. Almost as if evolution was trying to tell you “stop doing that or you’ll puncture a lung and die” or something.
