She probably also regrets that she felt she needed to male the remarks in the first place. i.e., the incredible disaster that is Donald.

I think it’s more that she regrets saying it to reporters. As opposed to doing what Scalia always did, which was saying things semi-publicly where reporters might happen to hear him.
She got the point across, the apology never gets the same attention.
